The service was great. The lobster tasted fresh but it was not hot. The only thing hot was the melted butter on the toasted bread. My meal also tasted bland, there was no seasoning on the food.

Took a trip to Cary, NC to check out Mason’s Famous Loster Rolls Restaurant. An let me tell you, it was worth the money. I spent less here for 2 combo meals, than what I spent in Myrtle Beach for dinner. Lunch was 2 combos that consists of: 2 Loster Salad Roll Bar Harbor Style, Loster Soup w/Loster Chucks and Side Salad w/Shrimps. Which it was all very delicious and the hospitality was awesome. Definitely plan on taking more trips back.

The classic sandwich was very good! It maybe could have used a little more sauce, but the meat to bun ratio was good! The potato salad was good, but tasted like it came from a Costco tub, nothing special.

I got a classic lobster roll w/ extra Mayo, extra butter on the side and tater tots w/ a drink. The roll was good, but extremely small and not fulfilling. It looked like a kids meal and I don’t feel like it was worth the price. The tater tots were soggy and regular, nothing special about them and it was also a small portion. I didn’t receive my butter on the side nor my side pickle. When I went the store wasn’t busy, so I’m not sure why those little details were missed. I also ordered a Snapple apple online, but when I got to the store, the worker said they don’t even have that stocked? I don’t think things should be on the online menu if they’re not going to be in the store. Overall, for the price, it was an underwhelming experience. Not sure if I would dine here again unless I had extra money to spend for a snack. Mind you, I’m a petite woman and it doesn’t take too much to fill me up, so I can only imagine how a decent sized hungry man would feel about the portion sizes.

I have to start off this review by saying the food here was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, the 3 out of 5 stars comes from the value. I know lobster isn’t cheap but to feed a family of 4 with 2 meals coming from the child’s menu clocked us in at $85. I don’t have a problem spending money on a good meal but if I’m going to spend close to $100 I would expect to be at a decent sit down environment. Also there just wasn’t enough food to fill myself and son up. I ordered the Bar Harbor with lobster bisque with extra lobster which brought me close to $40. After that I was still hungry. My son ordered a $6 hot dog and my daughter ordered a $6 grilled cheese. Those dishes did not come with any sides. Extremely overpriced in my opinion. There would be more value had they come with chips, fruit or some type of side. The same could be said with my order. Again I emphasize that the food was great, just not for that price. This is your place if you prioritize quality over quantity. Unfortunately here there is no middle ground.

What a nice evening treat! We were in the area and saw that Mason’s was open and decided to stop in for dinner. Everyone was friendly and eager to help. They advertised possible add-on’s to compliment the food. Both the Classic and Connecticut rolls were quite delicious. There was plenty of lobster meat, which was tender, and the bread was buttery. The bisque definitely needs the additional lobster meat addition. Overall, it was an experience I can’t wait to repeat.

I got the Classic Lobster Roll and it was delicious! They did NOT skimp on the lobster. The clam chowder (not pictured) was my second favorite. I appreciate the generous amount of clams in there! I want to try the Connecticut Roll next time!

A touch of New England right here in Cary… Delicious stuff, fresh lobster meat dished out in perfect rolls… Limited menu, but spot on in terms of taste… We tried the Connecticut Roll Bar Harbour style with extra lobster, Lobster Grilled Cheese sandwich and Lobster Bisque… Would love to go back to try more…

I went here for the 1st time yesterday and I got to say my food looked like a kid’s meal, very small and disappointing. I Ordered the bar harbor classic lobster roll and it was a small portion of lobster and a small bun, I made it a combo which was supposed to make it come with a drink and a side, I paid extra for these items and they too were small. I also ordered a cup of lobster bisque which was shown on the website with a good amount of lump lobster meat however mine was empty, not a drop of lobster meat in it at all, very disappointing! All in all I paid $40 for a kid’s meal my 1st time here & it was very disappointing for that price I should’ve gotten a good amount of food. The fact that the website shows the lobster roll much bigger in picture makes it so much more disappointing that mine was not that size, I was still hungry after. If they would be willing to make this right for me I might come back and maybe bring a friend or 2.
