I always stop at Massad’s when in Mankato, probably for 20 years. The guys at the counter were super helpful with ideas to do a gluten-free shawarma. I went with the salad+pickles over the deconstructed pita because it was more of a meal. I also got tabbouleh. All the veggies were crisp and the meal was full of great flavors. Massads is a must eat at place in Mankato. My college roommates and I would go to the store on campus all the time when they were near U-Square. The Chicken Schwarma and the sauce inside is super good (usually get it in a tortilla). They have other options for food which are really good as well.

I had a 9” chicken shawarma and the chicken looked and tasted like it came out of a can. It was wrapped in a tortilla. Have not had this happen in the past.

I ordered a tabulee salad. It was wilted, and watery .So took it back and the guy gave me another one that was so full of oil! The it’s not supposed to be oily! It’s a fresh salad. I have been eating it for 20 years! There version is awful!

It was okay shawarma, made me wish I had bought something else low-key 9inch shawarma costs $10 with fries and a fountain drink. Assuming 6inches is closer to$7-$8 bucks.
