This just opened a couple weeks ago- so some clear growing pains with service and wait times. Nice outdoor seating. Good choices on the menu. Massaya appetizer was tasty. All of our entrees were good – Falafel platter, mixed Grill platter, kofta wrap, lamb platter and salmon platter. The pita could have been softer but was fine.

Have you ever been to the Near East and thought to yourself, ‘Wow, why don’t kabobs taste like that at home?’. And when I say that they are different, they almost do not even taste the same. Then you found your spot. Massaya is the only – repeat, only – place in the D.C. area that has authentic Lebanese kabobs. Trust me, I tried them all over the past 15 years. And not only the kabobs but everything else, from the hummus to the Turkish coffee. I drove almost 30 minutes to get here today, so give it a shot. You will not be disappointed, I promise.

Really good food. The hummus is fantastic. Had the chicken shawarma and it was really well seasoned and cooked. Staff is friendly and helpful. Restaurant is nice and clean with good spacing between tables. Will eat there again.

The food is delicious! My husband and I have traveled several times to the Middle East and just returned from Greece and the food at Massaya was authentic and the presentation was lovely and very appealing. We started with the appetizer sampler platter and for dinner shared the mixed grill platter.

What a waste. Kabob meat was super low quality and very overdone. Expensive as well. Lamb was over spiced and low quality. So disappointing. Even the salad was disgusting.

I am very disappointed. This restaurant opened next to my house which is 3 minutes by walk and I didn’t have chance to try it until yesterday. The place looks clean and nice but I can’t say the same things about food. I ate better quality and delicious Lebanese food from food trucks. I don’t know how old was the chickens but my friend and I had stomachache after dinner and we didn’t even finish our plate. If you look at the photos, you will see how the plates look.My expectations were way different than this. I don’t think I will take my friends there again. After we left the place, we ate at home again because we left hungry with paying almost $100. I forgot to say Falafel was really bad, I never ate anything like that before. I don’t usually write bad reviews like this but that restaurant has nice location and nice dine in area and they definitely need a better chef. Sorry! 3 stars from 2.5.

The food was delicious and it was quick to come to the table. I ordered shawarma platter and fried calamari. Very nice environment with music and nice seating. Waiters were kind, authentic food, fast service, honestly 10/10.
