I have gone out of my way to stop by here and would recommend you to do the same. You will immediately be greeted by sumptuous smells wafting from the truck and a smile from the owner as if you’re an old friend he’s been waiting to arrive. Homemade pasta, scratch sauces, the highest quality ingredients you could ask for. You can tell the owner pours every ounce of his love into this establishment. Do not sleep on the best Italian food I’ve found in the Midwest.

The best Italian food I’ve had since moving to Colorado. We weren’t sure it would even be open in the rain, and when we pulled up we were greeted with a smile and encouraged to wait in our car after ordering so we could stay dry. The food was amazing – don’t even have a before picture, just the after photo of what we ate because everything was SO good. I am spreading the word with my friends, and will be back again and again.

I have been fortunate to travel (and dine) extensively in Italy for business as well as for pleasure. I can honestly say that the first time I tried Massimo’s delicious Italian cooking, I immediately knew “this is as good as it gets!” AMAZING ITALIAN FOOD THAT YOUR ENTIRE FAMILY WILL LOVE!!!

This is authentic Italian and the pasta dishes are made with fresh pasta. I got the Pappardelle Tartufo Nero and the Spaghetti Carbonara and a tiramisu for dessert – these dishes reminded me of a previous holiday trip to Italy. Too bad I’m not from Colorado otherwise I would go back to try the rest of the dishes on the menu. You’d be remiss if you did not stop here while staying in Lyons.

The last thing you’d expect when pulling next to a gas station in the small town of Lyons, CO is to be treated to truly world-class Italian food. But that’s exactly what you will get if you decide to give Massimo e Vittorio a try. The food is SO fresh, delicious, and so perfectly seasoned! Even their pasta is hand-made from scratch the day before serving it. We had the Caprese salad, Pizza Margherita, Tagliatelle al Pesto, and Baccala (Cod) with Puttanesca sauce, all followed by a traditionally made tiramisu. Everything tasted just perfect and It was as if we had been transported to the Mediterranean sea-side town of Naples! Truly a gem of an experience!

Masdimo’s dishes bring us back to Naples! I had the best veggie lasagna! Hardy veggies with the creamy sauce brought a smile on my face. Don’t forget the dessert, Tiramisu! Enjoyed delicate flavors folded in it. ❤

I haven’t had authentic Italian food since I lived in Europe. This is the real deal and it takes me back to the 8 years I spent over there. This place is an absolute gem. Phenomenal – don’t ever leave Mr Massimo!!

Massimo is THE most passionate chef I have ever encountered – his food is over the top delicious – and VERY authentic – I’ve lived in Colorado for 13 years and this is hands down the best Italian food I’ve ever had. Don’t let his humble presentation in the U Pump It parking lot dissuade you from trying it – the food is AMAZING.

The food was subpar! It was $60 for two entrees and 1 tiramisu, we asked for Parmesan cheese three times and he assured us it was in there but was not! The dish I had the shrimp were not peeled the pasta was very heavy and the octopus was slimy. The other dish was overly oily and very small portions for the price. The carbonara had no bacon or pinenuts. They threw in bread that was not even garlic bread just plain with no butter or oil. The tiramisu was soggy and flavorless! I have eaten Italian food around the world and in New York for 13 years and this I would NOT recommend at all. We had an upset stomach after. It’s like a used car salesman in an overpriced food truck!
