Always great service and tasty food here. One of the things I love about Mastro’s is that the steak is cooked perfectly and also season very well it’s not a bland steak and they cook it to perfection. Lobster mac and cheese and king crab fried rice is definitely a winner when it comes to sides. Also if you get the opportunity add a few of the jumbo massive prawns to your order you won’t regret it.

I’ve seen a lot of restaurants try to duplicate their flagship locations in The Woodlands. Most of them fail in my opinion and proof of that is that they don’t last, closing within a year or two.

Five stars across the board! The restaurant was packed but the ambience was still sensual and intimate. The music was perfect for the setting. The aromas from the food smelled amazing. The service was top tier and our server was personable. We ordered the fried calamari, iceberg wedge, the A5 wagyu beef roll, blackened Norwegian cold water salmon, lobster mashed potatoes, and the twice baked potatoes. The food was rich and flavorful. The wagyu on the beef roll melted in our mouths and the asparagus inside of the beef roll complimented it so well. We were surprised with a complimentary cheesecake for our 8th wedding anniversary and it was served with house made whipped cream. While this was a simple dessert, it was absolutely delicious. The whipped cream could be a dessert on its own. The lemon drop, Stella, and brandy we ordered paired well with our food.

In a word, disappointing. Despite the dress code being spelled out on the website, there were people in shorts and tee shirts. We were looking for an upscale experience, but got a club atmosphere instead. It was loud and crowded. The food was okay, but nowhere near worth the price. The service also was just okay. We won’t be back. There are other restaurants in the area that do seafood better, in a more intimate environment.

The food and drinks were very tasty. Our waitress was nice. We were seated between the indoor/outdoor area where they have two- two person tables. I think this seating arrangement is too close. We could here each other’s conversations which was awkward and uncomfortable. I regret not requesting to be re-seated. You have to pay for bread service FYI but the selection is nice. The desserts are also yummy. Overall we had a good experience and will likely return.
