Matsunori is in Canal Street Market. The place is trendy and good for quick meal. Their menu is located on top of the bar and not so much of choices. I got an easy 2 rolls. I wish would get something more interesting but maybe next time.

Located inside the Canal Street Market. They have a humble selection of omakase sets and sushi. Service was phenomenal. The chef carefully prepared the food for us. We got the $30 medium omakase set with six curated nigiri pieces, four pieces of a roll, some tamago and pickled radish cubes. Fish was fresh and some of the pairings were very good like the truffle topped red tuna. Only complaint was the rice was a bit hard and tended to fall apart. Otherwise very satisfying as a snack to share. We sat at the counter area. It gets crowded at times. There’s also shops inside the market to browse crafts.

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I treated myself to the wagyu uni hand roll and was extremely disappointed. It was a chewy mess. Absolutely not what I would have expected spending more than $20 for two bites!
