I’ve been meaning to write this review for so long! Discovery Bay Matsuyama has amazingly fresh cuts of fish. Definitely the best in the area! They are generous with portion sizes and the cost is very reasonable for such good fish. I only order to-go, but it’s always speedy and they are always genuinely thankful and kind. We always get the sashimi deluxe and one or two rolls, which is plenty for a party of two. I highly recommend this to any real sushi lover. They get busy on Fridays and Saturdays, so order accordingly!

I’m astonished at the good reviews!! I’ve lived in at least 15 states in my 36 years on the planet. So far California has had the worst sushi. This Worst Place BY FAR!! Price gouging (I worked at a sushi restaurant in Salt Lake City. Land locked city in Utah. We got fresh fish every other day. Not frozen. Prices NEVER change by season. Lies. Get a new fish vendor if you guys can’t hack it). The fish will be my complaint. And the price for garbage fish. There are other customer service issues but whatever. Find out if you dare.

Straight up best sushi place around. Sushi is 100% always on point. Since the quarantine I’ve been trying sushi from anywhere else close by and none compare to this place, not even shirasoni. I cant wait for them to open back up, I’ll be eating there for a week straight
