Matto (màt·to) is Italian for crazy, insane, mad.
We serve up some crazy-good pizza pies. And of course, what goes better with pizza than a nice cold pint? MATTO will have 10 taps serving insanely good pints of craft beer. And if pizza is not your thing, or you need that perfect accompaniment to your ”MATTO” pie, we will have some mean-green salads and mad-ass chicken wings to please your pie hole.
MATTO offers an energetic atmosphere and eclectic ambiance that borders on organized chaos. We have a dozen TVs so you can catch all of your favorite sporting events while enjoying a slice of pie and a cold pint, alongside family and friends.

Stopped in for our first time. We were seated right away and got waited on pretty quick. We had made the decision to just order an appetizer and a couple drinks and get a pizza to go. We ordered mozzarella cheese sticks, they were tasty and the red sauce they served with the cheese sticks was delicious. Even though we really liked the cheese sticks we doubt we will order them again since they were $14 from r 5 sticks. The only beer they have on tap is local craft beers, but they have named beers in bottles. Pizza was good and a fair price for large with two toppings. ($19.50). Looking forward to going back,.

Ordered a couple of pizzas and a Ceasars salad. Service was excellent, food order taken and in a reasonable time our food arrives. Pizzas looked and tasted good. Will have to return to try some of the other items

Went Friday night, it was only there 2nd night open so expected some hiccups. They were busy and looked like every table and bar stool was occupied. Servers and bartenders struggled a bit but maintained a friendly attitude. Not crazy about the digital menu you have to scan for access. The Nashville hot wings are the best I’ve tasted . Beer was cold and the overall prices were good. I’ll go back for pizza after the newness wears off.

I have found my new favorite Springfield pizza place! This speciality pizza is called Angry Italian and it’s seriously blowing my mind. Pro-tip: ask for some ranch. I could literally drink the ranch. It’s that good.

2.5.23 We ordered 2 side caesars and a margherita pizza. We received regular caesars it was good overall but had a strong horseradish taste which isnt my thing. About 50 minutes after being seated michael asked us what pizza we had ordered. Turns out he forgot to put our pizza order in. An hour and 40 minutes after being seated we ask for it to be boxed up and that we wanted the bill. On our way home we open the box and try the pizza. They forgot balsamic on our margarita pizza which was underwhelming due to this. The crust was also burnt over the majority of the pizza.

We tried Matto at about 6 pm on a busy Friday night. All tables were full so we opted to sit at the bar, which was empty. Our drink orders were taken promptly but after that we were ignored for quite a length of time. There were five people behind the bar chatting but no eye contact. I noticed the gentleman who took our drink order was also serving food to tables behind us. What the others behind the bar were doing was unclear except that they were not paying any attention to us. Our server eventually returned and took our food order. This is not a good impression for first time customers.

Good food and drink. Very slow service. Our experience was 1.5 hours from start to finish. For 2 apps and a pizza that’s a long time. They spent more time making and serving pickup orders than serving the dine in folks. May be awhile be for we go back again.

This was the weirdest dining experience I’ve ever had. We got a pizza and “chicken bacon ranch fries” to go. No one told us we would be waiting about an hour for our food. The fries came out about halfway through and so they weren’t timed correctly to eat with the pizza. We ate them in the front waiting area with our bare hands. Waitress was holding silverware in her hands and told us she’s “looking for plastic forks for us” to eat. They never came. The fries had BBQ instead of ranch which wasn’t what we ordered but we ate it anyways because we were so hungry. Staff was running around like chickens with their heads cut off even though they weren’t even busy. Not a single dine in customer came in in the hour we were there. One woman took someone’s credit card into the back which seemed sketchy. 2 kids were twerking and laughing at us, running behind the front desk even. Pizza was fine once we got it home. Would literally rather eat anywhere else.
