As a huge (emphasis on huge) fan of BBQ food, Matt’s BBQ surprised me with how they stand out! From the moment you step in you are greeted by kind people making the place a warm and welcoming environment! The ordering process is super easy and after just a few minutes, a glorious tray of brisket and burnt ends arrived and I dove right in! I was in heaven! The tenderness and taste is excellent and their selection of sauces pair perfectly. I can’t wait to go back and try more!

Top notch BBQ. Smoke forward with simple seasoning let’s the meat’s flavor dominate the taste buds. Had the beef brisket & pork sandwiches, Elote Corn (the industrial canned corn does not help this side at all), Tots (tossed with taco seasoning but cumin is a bit strong), Cole slaw (too small of a portion) Three sauces: Hot (actually quite mild with a subtle, but nice bite), Honey, & North Carolina Vinegar & Mustard.

Best smoked baby back ribs in the Chicago area, hands down. Excellent brisket and pulled pork. The mac n cheese is super cheesy and tasty. Their tater tots are more than just your typical plain tots. Imagine.seasoned fries in a tater tot form. Best tots I’ve ever had

HAD good experiences until last time got served a FAT sandwich full of fat. when mentioned to clerk she claimed i must have ordered a “fatty piece” which were lies then they snickered at me when i double checked that no such fatty cut was ever ordered. never even asked for a refund or similar and they immediately made up lies and shaming tactics against regular patrons like us. dissapointed and won’t be returning for awhile sadly. Quality has def declined past few months. sadly

Delicious legit barbecue! The brisket is some of the best I’ve ever had! The sausage and pulled chicken were excellent as well! My favorite may be the burnt ends!!! The Rib meat was so savory! They have three great sauces but I enjoy the spicier one. So flavorful with a right amount of heat . Grab a cold Lone Star Beer or any number of beers on tap or a cocktail and enjoy the weather on the outdoor patio. I suggest the root beer peanut butter moonshine mixer. All I need to do is get my hands on a Texas Twinkie and I’ll be whole!

Matt’s BBQ was GREAT! I had the ribs and potato salad and my wife had the brisket tacos with the elote as a side, the service was friendly and knowledgeable, we ordered our food and before we knew it… we were eating. I will be back.

This is my husband and I’s second time (3 o clock lunch ish time) coming and food still as good as what we remembered the first time. Last time (came after work around 9 pm) we ordered sampler platter and got it again this time. I love that this is open late and the quality of the food is just as delicious at anytime. Would highly y recommend. We love the brisket, pulled pork, burnt ends for sure but the other stuff is good too

This restaurant is somewhat small and brings in a crazy, huge crowd. I do not recall ever being there where there was not a line out the door. Unfortunately this line does not move fast, the wow is the food worth it. If you like barbecue, you have to check out Matt’s BBQ.
