Maude’s Alabama BBQ is must eat at restaurant in the Flint metro! The wait in driving time to get to Maude’s is worth it! The wait for your order is worth it! The BBQ reflects the flavors and recipes of Alabama. The offerings are what you expect and hope to find at a good BBQ joint! The BBQ sauce is flavorful and barely tips toward the sweet sweet side of scale. It is delightful on the pulled pork, chicken, brisket, and ribs. The portions are filling. The side dishes are varied and tasty! My favorite sides are the baked beans and fried okra! They sell their own seasoning mixes for chicken and pork. They have homemade desserts. They have their Alabama “white sauce,” as well for purchase.

I’ve ordered lunch from here a few times and the service is always very friendly and the food has great flavor. Burnt ends, Rib Tips and Wings are all good choices and the Fried Pickles have a nice kick to their seasoning.

One of my favorite restaurants in the city. It is so rare to find a place that offers up meat, meat, and more meat. The pulled pork sandwich is super thick full of ample pork, full of flavor, not too much sauce. The beef burger was also deliciously thick, bursting with flavor causing animalistic satisfaction. Good cat fish is so hard to find, once again Maude Alabama BBQ wins again. Their all meat soup was to die for, hearty beyond belief. Though I have a limited sweet tooth their cookies were soft and flavorful too. Now for their best dish, the double smoked brisket was unlike any brisket I have ever had, dense flavor with crisp edge but connected to a mouth watering chewy juicy section of meat, oh god!. My man Joshua, his recommendations on the menu is on point, you can definitely trust this man to guide you right. He has been there since the place opened over two years ago, charismatic and knows his dishes. Actually while righting this going to eat my Maude’s leftover from yesterday then go back today for more! Don’t forget to also pickup a slice of homemade pecan pie and several of their custom sauces (Carolina is my favorite). Truly I tried half the menu and I was blown away by every dish. If you are a meat lover looking for perfectly flavored and filling beef, pork, and cat fish this is your number one spot to visit.

Are you kidding me. My husband has been trying to get me here for months but I am very finicky about restaurant meats so the thought of a meat oriented place didn’t much suit my fancy..plus at the expense it’s a difficult gamble for a home cooker lol. Anyway…my gosh. Just DELICIOUS. From the cornbread to the brisket I couldn’t be happier. You know I’m happy when I do a side to side sway while I eat 10/10 will eat here again!

What a fantastic barbecue joint!!!! Having lived close to KC, MO, I know what good barbecue really is! Maude’s is excellent!!!! The portions are huge, the flavors are amazing, and the prices are reasonable! Definitely worth the visit!!!

Just Me
Been eating here about once a month for the past year and a half or so. The last three orders though in the past 2 months…the sides have been horrible. Green beans, Mac n cheese, baked beans and corn bread have been old, stale and disgusting. Not cool when dropping $60 a pop. Guess it’s time to go a different route
