I haven’t eaten here since I was in high school 15 years ago. I moved to Chicago but was recently in the area and took my boyfriend for breakfast. Just as amazing as I remembered!!!! The online pictures of Mauri’s were a little questionable. However, this place was a HIT! It’s a no frills, good food kind of place. I knew it had to be good when we saw it full on a Sunday at 10:30am! Lots of families and friends were there having breakfast or brunch, but we didnt have to wait to be seated. The restaurant isn’t as elegant as other brunch spots, but the food and service far outweighed that!

A great family owned breakfast-lunch joint. I’ve heard great things about this establishment prior to coming here and had high expectations coming in. With the COVID restrictions I feel like I can’t properly review this place yet but from my experience there it was nothing short of great. One of the neat things coming in is that they have a wait room for guests that are waiting to be seated as the restaurant is fairly popular. After being seated the food was delicious and they offer a quite extensive menu selection. Service was kind and welcoming, constantly checking on us if we were ok or needed a refill on our drinks. The overall setting was very neat and clean. I loved the mural they had in the back wall, didn’t get a chance to snap a picture of it but it is a cool piece to add to a local hotspot. Definitely would comeback to this place to try more of the menu.

Lately I’ve gotten omelets at Mauri’s and they’re delicious. The portions are decent and the sides are nice. The fruit salad is pretty good: cantaloupe, honeydew, grapes, pineapple, and oranges.

This place owes me stars! One of the worst places i have been to in a long time. It took forever to get a cold cheese omelet, hard dry toast , a skillet served on a plate where the only thing hot was the eggs. Everything else was lukewarm at best. Bacon tasted like bacon bits. Just to add insult to injury, they charged 5% for using a debit card. Nothing on the menu or receipt indicating a charge for using a card.
