Just one of those beautiful American corner smokehouses which we Europeans envy so much… little house on the outskirts of Plymouth downtown. Quiet place, parking on the road. Friendly server and atmosphere, good prices. I had a half rack of ribs with pulled pork and sides. Loved all of it I am quite proud of my own ribs recipe but this was brilliant. The pulled pork was a little bit dry but really tasty. Last time I had the brisket which was also brilliant. Colossal American portions lovely place well done !

First impressions are very important. I was in the mood for barbecue so we stopped by this place to give it a try. We noticed a poorly visible sign on the door that said “sold out” but I still wanted to go in and check out what they had. As soon as we walked in the door we were met with a condescending employee who said “I can tell you didn’t call ahead”. She never even looked up at us. She wasn’t friendly and her tone was very rude. My husband and I both walked out the door and said that we will never go in there again. Instead, I went to Dickey’s and was met with kindness and smiling faces and nice conversation by the owner. Now, I don’t know if Dickies is better than this place or not, and I will never know because I will never go to this place again.

So I wanted to try somewhere new and we found this place on Google. I am so grateful I did!! We ordered a brisket and pork meal and it was so amazing! The food was so filling, I absolutely loved the cheesy potatoes. There were 4 of us so the owner offered us a table upstairs, she had such great hospitality even asking if we needed anything even though it was just her There and she was so busy. Will definitely be back again!

We had a tray and a half of pulled pork catered from here this weekend for a party. I had heard really good things about their bbq and figured we’d give it a shot.

The Best Texas bbq restaurant in Michigan. Especially the brisket was exceptional. Salmon chowder was little salty but was full of flavor, and that corn thing was OMG. And the owners are very friendly!

Excellent dry rubbed ribs. They were moist with a lot of meat and did not need any sauce. They also had a nice smoked flavor. The baked beans and Mac and cheese were good, though my husband thought the Mac and cheese was too cheesy. I disagreed with him. I didn’t care for the corn bread as it was too dry. Looking forward to trying the barbecue chicken.

The ribs are absolutely top notch. These are by far the best non-sauced ribs I’ve ever had in my life. The smoke is phenomenal. They sell out by about 6 daily.

I think brisket should be so moist that it jiggles. This wasn’t that type of brisket. It was very lean and no seasoning, just smoked. I’m used to brisket being full of flavor and super moist. But I guess a lot of people like this kind of brisket, because they’re still in business, so good for them. It’s just not for me.
