Took my wife here for date night as we had heard a lot of good things about it from friends. It has a unique feel inside and our server was very friendly. We each ordered steaks and no dessert and after tip we had spent around $90 dollars. The stakes were good, but not memorable enough to say they were better than most other places we have been to. Not a lot of flavor without the onions and mushrooms on top.

The waitress was nice. I’m not being pessimistic just truthful. The salads were made to serve the barn animals, tasteless prime rib, and ribs needed a saw they were so tough. Very disappointed. Headed a waitress passing by the hostess area saying “the cook walked out, and they are in need of a dishwasher.”

I think Maxi Barn has to be the best restaurant in the Michiana area. Everything is delicious and the ladies that wait on you are so nice. While it may be slightly more pricey than other places, you are getting real food. I frequent here for the Mahi Mahi dish.

Best Food Ever!! You have to stop by the wonderful atmosphere, They were about to close my wife called in to make sure we’d be able to order some dinner, They said absolutely we’ll wait for you !! Man oh Man Simply the best!! Service excellent!

I was disappointed my Perch wasn’t hot and a few pieces were wet underneath, like it was cooked then placed under a heat lamp until the rest of the party food was completed. It would have been nice to be told that adding onions to a salad would be extra cost and same for salad dressing. I recommended the place but it didn’t measure up to expectations. Tiffany was a good.

Had dinner there tonight . Appetizer super greasy , baked potatoes hard as rock and I had to send it back for another bad one I got . Fish was greasy tasted like old grease . Restaurant used to have delicious food I guess they are in the band wagon with everyone else as far as poor food quality at very expensive prices !! Think twice before you spend your hard earned money there !!!

Our waitress, Lisa was friendly and fun. She took made us feel welcome. We enjoyed the friend zucchini which came with horsey sauce, loved it. I ordered a chicken specialty sandwich and added lettuce, tomato & onion to it. Lisa also brought me some more of the horseradish sauce. It was great. I especially liked the French bread it was served on. We will definitely go back. We did not have room for dessert but it was offered. She also kept plenty of ice water on the table so our glasses never went empty.
