I love the diverse and unexpected menu at Maxon’s. I had the Pig Mac, which was a pulled pork sandwich with Mac and cheese and onion straws on top finished with Chipotle ranch dressing. It was awesome! The atmosphere is cozy and rustic, service was very good. They have a large free parking lot and it is handicapped accessible. There is something on the menu for everyone, from the usual to the unusual.

This place is a gem. Drinks, food and service all great. I got the Buffalo cauliflower and French onion burger… delish. Best Buffalo cauliflower I’ve had in awhile. Fiance got chili and French onion burger and was very pleased.

I loved the Bayou, so when it reopened, I was thrilled!! The inside is a great space. The staff is well versed in C/S. When Sam Adams Summer Ale was unavailable, she brought a sample of something similar!! The chicken wing sandwich was one the best piece of chicken I’ve ever had. The steak sandwich could have used less oil, but flavorful! Plentiful, great value.

Maxon’s restaurant is a welcoming oasis of rustic charm. Our waitress seated us at the window booth and was friendly and attentive. I ordered chicken wings of course and the hot sauce tasted fantastic as did the homemade blue cheese. The Mrs. ordered an inside out cheeseburger (grilled cheese on the outside of the bread!) She loved it obviously. Beer selection is good with many craft options. Will go again when in the area!

First visit in ages. Sunday brunch time was not too busy so we were able to enjoy a quiet section of the restaurant. Short rib nachos … the meat was amazing. Loved the interior vibe. Can’t wait to go back.

Service was good and food was great in person but not the same when we ordered takeout. I went in person and for an appetizer we ordered the short rib poutine which was absolutely delicious. We wish the dish had a bit more gravy but it tasted great and the portion was enough for two people. I ordered a Maxon burger( (burger cooked medium) with Mac and cheese and my boyfriend ordered the Oh Donna (burger cooked medium) with onion rings. Both were amazing and the sides were good. Everything was great in person. However we did order takeout during the week and it wasn’t as good. We ordered fried pickles, the maxon burger cooked medium with Mac and cheese and the pork ribeye with tots and the tomato bisque. The friend pickles weren’t super crispy but we expected that since we got it to go, the maxon burger was not cooked medium at all and tasted different than it did the first time we got it. The pork ribeye eye with tots and the tomato bisque were all delicious. The pork ribeye did not look visually appealing but it tasted great, very flavorful and juicy. Overall the place is 4.5 stars in person and a 3 for takeout. I would definitely go in person again.

Maxon’s is the place to go if you’re new to town or passing through!!! It is by far the best place to go to in Glenville. Family friendly, big menu with good prices, great food and beer, awesome service. Indoor and outdoor seating plenty of room. Their burgers are definitely the most popular so I would recommend them. We go to Maxon’s over other places when wanting to eat out and are never disappointed!

Maxon’s is perfect for decadent food that you probably shouldn’t eat but you are so glad you did! We started with Buffalo cauliflower and it was excellent. Light tempura batter and awesome flavor. Followed that up with a burger and bbq tots. The tots are excellent and the burger was good too. Service was friendly and excellent. The place is big and can hold people so no need to worry if it’s busy—you’ll get in shortly!

My favorite restaurant around. I was sad they moved out of Rotterdam, but the Scotia location is perfect for them. Awesome patio. Cheers to the chef, you can taste his love for his craft, everything on the menu is delicious. It will be my dining out place of choice fot years to come, even if the drive is a little longer now.
