Truthfully I’ve never had a problem with Max’s and the food isn’t bad! I’m not one to post reviews, but I specified to my server that I had a tomato allergy, I even said that if my order request was too difficult tell me and I’ll understand because I’m used to it. It’s not my fault I’m allergic, but I also don’t wanna be a bother. However after saying it was an allergy 3 times she still didn’t write it on the ticket because my food came out wrapped in a tomato basil wrap and with a full side of ketchup on the plate. They apologized and remade my food but said I could keep the mistake. I said okay I guess my boyfriend can eat it or something. Then when I got the bill I was fully charged for the mistake and the remake. I asked if they could take the wrap off and they said sorry if you’re taking it home we have to charge you for it it’s our policy, so I paid for the mistake and the remake. I have worked in food service for quite a few years now and never have I charged someone for my mistake even if they took it home. That’s my mistake and when it comes to allergies it’s a pretty dangerous one! The service was not very professional and I’m very disappointed. I appreciate the apologies from the other staff but I probably won’t be back for quite awhile.

Subpar food. Mediocre service. We were a group of 6 and I swear it annoyed the server we were coming to eat. We were very respectful and were celebrating 2 birthdays. I’m a server myself so I tend to give a break where a break is due… however from bland boring food. To a server who was annoyed we were eating. Would not recommend again. Just go to innout and save yourself the time.

Looking for a Happy Hour spot or a restaurant to enjoy a delicious salad? Max’s Restaurant and Bar boast of having “everything you’ve always wanted to eat”. They have a high-quality menu with fresh ingredients. The Cobb salad was generously portioned and prepared to perfection. Happy Hour is Monday-Friday from 3 to 6pm and Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 5 pm. The beer and wine selection is local and they have a full service bar. I would recommend the restaurant have live music on the patio. It would being in customers and they would stay longer. This would be a great Happy Hour date spot. Unfortunately I can’t recommend this restaurant, especially if you’re out for a burger and fries. For just under $30 I got a burger and fries. Less than 60 seconds walk from the front door of the hotel is an In-N-Out burger. For 1/3 the price I could have gotten an amazing burger and fresh fries.

Went there to celebrate my birthday on Easter. The buffet had a nice selection but seemed neglected. We were there at 3:00 and food was not fresh. I am new to the area and Max’s seems like it could be a great place but needs some TLC. I’m looking forward to going back to see if the regular menu and service is better. Not worth the $40 per person.

Place was half empty where I was seated. There was a group of ladies in the main room, hence the service was slow to the rest of us. Had a Cobb Salad. It was excellent.

I’ve visited Max’s several times. Very good service, food quality can vary from dish to dish. The jambalaya was excellent, the chicken was just ok. Bakery goods including bread are always excellent.
