Gave this a try for happy hour and specifically wanted the patio. It was very nice and relaxing. The mango-Chile margaritas were wonderful! Loved the popcorn…excellent queso…and the brisket tacos were superb! The black beans were very flavorful and a really big portion as a side, definitely enough for two. Would definitely come back and try more!

We had an amazing dining experience on our anniversary! We were totally surprised by the welcome from the host with a personalized greeting card signed by many staff. The place has got a beautiful ambience, spacious yet cozy feel, food was delicious, and the service was great! To add to our surprise, our lovely server brought us a complementary entree to make the evening feel even more special. Highly recommended!!

Amazing experience!! Our server Reese was awesome, and super helpful with deciding what to get on the menu since everything looked so good. The brussel sprouts were incredible along with the entomatada enchiladas. The cocktails were also delicious! Highly recommend trying out this spot!

Food was great, just a bit too pricey for Mexican food. Nice atmosphere and great service. I had the cauliflower tacos, very tasty & fresh. My wife had the Caesar shrimp salad which was also fresh. All in all, enjoyed our visit!

Fun new spot on King St. wasn’t able to partake in the tequila tasting or list of margarita cocktails due to being pregnant but want to go back! The Mole was amazing! Tacos were tasty, but pricey for what we received.

A friend chose this place to celebrate a birthday here and it was a fantastic choice! We were seated in the back patio area so we had some privacy for our party of 6. Their drink menu is varied and so hard to pick just one… So we didn’t and tried several! They have a couple tequila flights to pick from as well. The server was extremely knowledgeable and educated us on the difference between tequilas before we made our selection. He also made it super special by surprising us with a dessert! All around a fantastic experience.

Highly, highly recommend Maya in downtown charleston! We made a last minute, rather late reservation as the plans we had earlier derailed our other dinner plans, not expecting to come here, we had little to no expectation and did little review/reading prior, which is very unlike us. Natalie was a very sweet and helpful hostess! The atmosphere of the restaurant upon entering is chic, mid century modern meets, nature infused and warm. We were greeted promptly by our server, Hailey who was wonderful! She made some great recommendations and got us started with our cocktails. I had a watermelon mezcal margarita and my boyfriend had the “One way Flight” made with aloe. Both were amazing! We were onto our second drink quickly which were also delicious! We ordered the duck carnitas, conchita pibil, Brussel sprouts and shishito peppers. The house made corn tortillas were unlike anything I have ever tasted and it brought together the meat with all the other flavors! Everything was just outstanding and we left extremely full fat and happy! Many thanks to hailey and the team for providing outstanding service and food, and for staying late to accomodate us. I highly recommend and we cant wait to go back!

I am visiting Charleston for one week and had been eyeing Maya for a few days in anticipation for a nice dinner. I was not disappointed. The staff was friendly, the food delicious and decor on point. I really enjoyed the ambiance in the back of the restaurant. A heated, covered patio that kept us warm. It probably is opened during the warmer months. The bar is stylish and there is a cute little swing on the far side by the fireplace. Shout out to Anna our amazing waitress who was attentive and kind. She checked on us and made sure we had enough to drink and made really good suggestions (al pastor taco, pineapple/ginger margarita and FLAN!!).
