My husband and I came to Natchitoches for an overnight get away and ate at Mayeaux’s for dinner! I cannot say enough how impressed we were with this place! It was absolutely DELICIOUS. We live over an hour away but it’s WELL worth the drive to come down to eat here. I’m already trying to figure out when we’ll come back!

I can’t say enough about this place. Best steak I’ve ever eaten! It’s not just the food that brings us back. It’s the owner walking around greeting everyone like family, the bartender that remembers us from months ago, the cooks that make sure you got your steak the way you wanted it. The entire place thrives on customer service. We decided to go for lunch today and I have to say, don’t count out the hamburger at a seafood restaurant like most do. This was by far the best hamburger and onion rings we’ve ever had!!!

Wow! A totall Home run experience… Actually, a 3 course GRAND SLAM! We had the BBQ Shrimp for the appetizer, wife & I shared 2 Red Fish Dishes & then the buttermilk pie and…. Lemme tell you… It was absolutely delicious all of it. A very rare experience for us because we host cooking classes and travel the world for food experiences. MUST GET THE LOUISIANA RED FISH COCODRYE with the cheese sauce! Don’t leave Natchitoches without eating here. Great waitresses also!

This was a fantastic restaurant experience! The food was wonderful, and the service was great. The breading on the fried catfish was crispy and perfectly tasty. The mixed drinks were also good. My husband had the frog legs. While that is not my “cup of tea”, he enjoyed them. The restaurant felt much larger than it was. They did a wonderful job on the decor.

The food was good. I have had some issues in the past with them using too much pepper in their sides. On this day, there was something in my cup of tea. It seemed as if they were reusing the cup without washing them. I hope that wasn’t the case. I pray whatever was in my tea doesn’t harm me. Overlooking that, the meal and experience was above average.

Good experience. The frog legs were good. The fish was cooked perfectly(not dry or fishy flavor). The onion rings were fresh and all the sides were hot! The food was a little salty but not enough to displease the palate. The dessert was excellent, you must try the buttermilk pie with ice cream.
