This place is garbage! Ordered simple foods and they were all disgusting… chicken and broccoli had absolutely no sauce to speak of as well as slimy barely cooked chicken. The egg drop soup was so gelatinous and oily. The sweet and sour chicken was cooked till it was dry and burnt.. the won ton soup was exactly like the nasty jelly broth of the egg drop soup. No fortune cookies. The staff was impolite and harsh and that’s me being nice.

Came here tonight and paid $40. Once I got home and opened my meal I saw this raw, slimy chicken that smells rotten never again. also, the crab rangoons either had huge chunks of crab, or none at all.

Chicken was tough. Fried rice had little pork in it and no veggies. Egg roll was bland. Fortune cookies not included with combo platters. Way overpriced quality and quantity.

I don’t do many reviews but I had no choice but to make a statement. I ordered pork lo mein, fried rice and a vegetable roll for take out. The lady taking the order never asked what kind of fried rice ( usually if not specific it would be house fried rice) .. I repeated the order 3 times to the lady….When I got home I did not have fried rice but white rice. I immediately called and the owner expected me to drive all the way back to exchange. I was not going to drive back and he said he could do nothing … so I will not return to the Chinese mayflower and in addition the food was despicable…I’m not saying this out of spite or anything but the rice was not fresh and the pork lo mein was disgusting. The owner did not offer any other resolution. For the garbage food I wasted 14 dollars ! I will absolutely not return!!

Mayflower is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the Utica/Rome area, and has been for well over two decades! EXCELLENT food…well prepared! I usually eat at Mayflower twice a week!! I’ve had pretty much everything on the menu! I highly recommend Mayflower Chinese Restaurant!! I love it, and I guarantee you will too!!

I got Food from here Friday and I got Food Poisoning from them I was deadly sick for 3 whole days I kept throwing up heart was racing and I could barely walk due to the contraction like feelings from the food. Whatever they gave was not fresh and I believe they need to be inspected because they know their food and products are not fresh and most likely they are reserving left overs. I’ve never felt like that a day in my life and I want to share my experience as a eat at your own risk
