Excellent!! I was staying out by the airport for a layover. I walked the the 6-mile round trip and it was worth every step. The gentleman working the counter was very polite and it helped me navigate the menu. I went with the lamb chops and was not disappointed. Generous serving. I ordered them medium, or little pink inside. As mentioned in other comments, this is an Afghani restaurant. Mediterranean is closed, but different spices. If you have never been, I would recommend going with a group and sharing everything family style.

This place is beyond great. All the food was so delicious and freshly cooked. Reasonably priced, especially for the portions you get. Will definitely be going back ….

One of the best Mediterranean food we had in Albany. Freshly made and delicious. We had the lamb kabob with rice and salad and chicken kabob with rice and salad, both were amazing! Service is fast and the staff is good. The price for that quality of food is definitely worth it.

Mazadar has great options for halal food and the food is flavorful in each bite. Portions are good, however I wished items like the Baklava were freshly made or ready to order instead of just being pulled from a cooler.

We ordered a take out order from this restaurant for the first time…. The food was ok but they sent us a wrong sandwich and when I called them, they were not helpful. They didn’t even offer a refund unless I take the sandwich back but I did’t have time so I kept it. I wouldn’t recommend because of the poor customer service

I was VERY impressed with Mazadar! I had the lamb/chicken combo with Mazadar rice, which was lightly spiced and fragrant, with a small salad. The lamb was cooked to perfection (I asked them to cook it slightly pink inside, they got it close enough!), and the chicken was moist and nicely spiced. Very generous portions too. I don’t live around here but would definitely come again if I’m passing by. I HIGHLY recommend Mazadar!

Very dirty tables. And if you want to leave satiated, don’t go. If you have the illusion you will be full after leaving this place, don’t go. Ordered lamb kabob entrees, and only six pieces of lamb were delivered on each platter, though they were strategically placed on a diagonal to make the platters appear full. The pieces of lamb did taste good, as did the rice. Bread is a joke. Upon receiving such a small quantity of lamb, I approached the guy at the front, who responded it was “too much labor” to provide more, said he charged me the same price as everyone else (a response that had nothing to do with what I was telling him), and I could “order more food” if I felt it wasn’t enough. I asked him to provide at least some extra chicken meat if lamb was too much for him, but he refused. Further, he served people who came later, first. We were both very hungry after wolfing down our measly portions. We angrily left, went grocery shopping for lamb, and cooked another meal at home, completely negating the point of going out in the first place. As my companion, more of an optimist than I am, said to sum it up: “It was a nice appetizer.”

This is a nice Mediterranean food restaurant with a good amount of options, and tasty high quality food. I really enjoyed the lamb kabob.
