This place has THE BEST baklava I’ve ever had in Maine. The place is small but you can get the food to go. I definitely recommend going here if you like Mediterranean or Middle Eastern foods

Our favorite takeout, hands down! Every time we order, I want to try something new but I can’t not get the lamb shank and my husband can’t not get the Gyro. The flavors in the meat and rice are excellent. The lamb falls off the bone. They make the best hummus I have ever had, and every time I pick up, I get a delicious lentil soup sample that makes me warmed and cheery 🙂 Thanks, Mazzat for being exceptional in service, quality and value! We always make two meals of each delicious dinner.

Don’t be fooled by the ratings. Terrible customer service. We ordered a combo plate with fries. We clearly mentioned to the man behind the counter that I have a severe allergy to rice and he acknowledged our request, making a note on the order slip. Though they were working only on our order at the time, they got it wrong. My girlfriend paid for the meal and even tipped 15% on a takeout order only to find out they gave us rice instead of fries after reaching home 30 mins away. We called in at 7:30pm and asked for a refund/ delivery of the right items. But the man behind the counter who answered the phone said they cannot deliver because they close at 9pm. He also said the owner wasn’t present so he cannot do anything. He asked me to swing by tomorrow to pick up the right order, which didn’t make sense to me because am I supposed to starve tonight and change all my plans for his mistake? Not only did they give me severe allergens but the meat seemed old and tough. I never write bad reviews but this is seriously below par. Thumbs down.

100% Halal and Delicious! Very impressed with the food and customer service. We had the chicken saj, beef saj, labneh, hummus and the bakhlava. The only thing we didn’t like is the bakhlava was dry. The best item to have was the beef saj. The workers were so nice to us and polite. 10/10 would recommend!

Wow, this place has fantastic food!! I feel lucky that Dina’s down the street was closed – I was treated to some of the tastiest beef saj, falafel, muhammara, and more. I’ve eaten all around the US and even traveled to the Middle East, and this is among the best of the best! I really hope this restaurant is successful, as I plan to come back the next time I pass through Portland.

Ordered beef shawarma and the beef was so old that it had turned black. The yogurt tasted sour as well. I could just eat the fries. We came here because of the ratings and I have no idea how they have such a high rating!
