I usually don’t have anything critical or negative to say about McAlister’s but the past two times we’ve gotten food there we’ve found some things lacking. “Spuds” that were very overdone and dry. Once was when we ordered delivery for 6 people (spent just over $100 so a leathery and clearly not-fresh potato was.pretty disappointing. Also my.cup of chili had quite a bit of gristle/small pieces of fat. I’ve never had that problem with chili from there before but it was extremely off-putting and I won’t be getting the chili again any time soon. The tea, of course, is always perfect. I like unsweet, the rest of the fam prefers the sweet tea. Both are quite good. I didn’t like the “pulpiness” of the lemonade but that’s just a personal preference. Also I wish they’d bring back the orange-cramberry sauce for the turkey club sandwich.

Ordered a VEGGIE sandwich and 2 bites in I bite into a toothpick. Open the sandwich up and it’s a toothpick laying inside with a piece of ham on it and some type of stuffing that OBVIOUSLY didn’t with the sandwich. I think I’ll just go throw up now!

I can only give a 3 star review because the young man working the register had more interest in playing with his phone than taking orders. I walked in behind two ladies, while we all stopped to look at the menu (they sat while looking), I was ready before them. When approaching the counter the young man takes no notice of me since he is too busy playing on his phone which he has sitting on the counter in front of the register. I must ask him “Excuse me, are you taking orders or playing on your phone?” before he looks up to realize I am standing directly in front of his register. This is something I personally find extremely rude as a customer. Other than this one young man my “to go” order was prepared quickly, correctly and was delicious. Major kudos to the efficiency of the kitchen staff! I was in the McAlister’s on Lime Kiln Ln at 7:32pm on Sun 10/9/22.

Service was way too slow for 3 pm. Lunch rush was over and hardly a crowd, but I had to wait nearly 12 minutes for a choose 2 veggie spud with sandwich. Was starting my 3rd glass of sweet tea when they finally handed me my food to go.
