Stopped in here about 30 minutes to close while on a road trip. McAlister’s is one of the few chain delis that do Reubens correctly. However, they left the Thousand Island dressing off; I asked for it, and they said they couldn’t add it since they were closing soon and the sandwich had already been made. I was also told I wasn’t able to use their restrooms, because they were closing soon. I also wasn’t able to sit down and eat my meal in the restaurant, because they were closing soon. I ended up eating my dinner on the curb of their parking lot; ON THE CURB!! I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised, since the oldest employee looked to be around 20…maybe.

Pretty good sandwiches and pretty good soups. We didn’t have to wait that long to get our food and everything was hot and fresh. Two sandwiches, two cups of soup, and a kids meal still cost us $46 though.

I have never been to McAllister’s, but was craving a Reuben, so called to do takeout. Sadly, I still haven’t tasted their food. The woman who answered basically told me she was too busy to accept my order, but did so in a very rude manner. I can only assume she is the same person other reviewers have complained about. Why is she still there?!? She is not doing this business any favors!!

We have been there many times and we’re always treated well. Not today!! The boss lady taking our order was unpleasant and very unfriendly. We didn’t finish our meals and I asked her for a carryout box while she was by the trash receptacle. She said,very unfriendly like, to go up to the counter and get one. I was speechless. We are never going back to patronize such unpleasantness. It’s a shame because the food is great. It’s time to evaluate the management.

Pretty nice menu. Got the Mac n cheese , veggie spud, and veggie sandwich. This place has been called the Panera killer. Might be on to something. Food was fire but the Mac n cheese needs some work. Worth the 2hr drive.
