Best Bohemian restaurant in the Chicago land area!! Our party of 4 showed up, parking lot seemed full, but we were seated immediately. I had the breaded pork tenderloin with dumplings, sour kraut, beef noodle soup, rye bread & coffee – everything was very very tasty, and plentiful. The service was amazing, coffee, water & rye bread were all filled quickly when empty. It’s an amazing restaurant, go to this place you’ll love it, they even have t-shirts for sale!!

It was my first time here, and I will definitely go back. The food was wonderful, I had the breaded pork tenderloin, and it was very good. 2 huge pieces of pork, and 3 bread dumplings.

Food was pretty good. Svickova comes with 3 bread dumplings and 3 pieces of beef with sparse sauce. Traditionally it should come with a dollop of sweet preserves and dollop of sour cream and more of the gravy sauce which were missing. Overall Taste was good. The service was quick, Mixed the orders a bit and people had to switch the dishes between each other. Water in the glasses does not taste drinkable and I tasted strong chemicals in it therefore no one drank the water at our table. Its a surprising hidden gem of a place that is one of the last bohemian restaurants remaining.

My wife and I went there for the first time and really liked it. The Goulash, dumplings, roast pork and pork tenderloin were excellent. The waitress we had was very nice and attentive. The atmosphere was what I remember a Czech Restaurant being. The warm apricot kolaczky was absolutely a great way to finish off our meal. We will definitely go back!

The best roast chicken. Its great. I don’t understand why they do not offer this great dish every day. Their roast chicken is the best I have ever eaten. I would give them 5 stars if the roast chicken was offered every day. I would travel far with my family for all of us to have their roast chicken’ and then be informed by the waitress that we are not offering it today. No reason. Its so sad and disappointing.

A hidden gem in the shadow of First Avenue. My mother was 100% Czech so I grew up eating Bohemian food. I wish I had found this restaurant years ago! The food was better than other Czech restaurants in the area that I have been to and the portion size was large, enough that I had 2 lunches for work leftover! I will definately be back!

This place is one of my favorite restaurants ever. The breaded pork tenderloin is just amazing here. 2 huge pieces of golden pork tenderloin with gravy. They have bread dumplings and many different types of potatoes. Vegetables, pickled beets, sauerkraut. Dinner comes with desert. They are open till 11pm most days.

I’m 100% Bohemian and raised on this style of Western European cooking. Our food was the equal of my family cooking in flavor, quality and quantity. Our server was Czech born and a extra special delight to speak to and helpful to correct my incorrect pronounced Czech words.
