The service was okay. Problem was that although whomever was in charge was looking out for the customer, I felt that I was in an episode of Hell’s Kitchen. I heard whomever was in charge yelling at the staff and looking for perfection…the atmosphere was tense and although the decor was really nice for a McDonald’s, the yelling and demeaning of staff took away from a relaxing environment.

Stopped in only because I got hungry and was tired of driving so this place was near the highway exit. However the service was surprisingly good for what I expected. Burgers were hot and cooked well, same for the fries. It almost did not seem like a fast food restaurant, and the employees are very courteous.

Tasty food, albeit not healthful, good prices, etc., but their app really is an issue. Complications can arrise that lead to it taking quite some time to get an order in w/whatever offer is in the app, though I find Burger King to be far worse (at BK if there’s an issue, they will typically not help out manually, but at McD. they will ultimately help out manually if needed).

Mcdonald at East Lyme location has poor quality lately. We placed order online and pick up through drive-through. They had us wait about 20 mins at pick up window. We usually order fish sandwich and this time the fish really smelled like it’s going to go bad soon, and the fries is not fresh, Also ordered happy meal for our kid. They dont have apple slide in the box but they put double fries instead without telling us. We’re very disappointed at this time at this location.

I arrive and ask for a decaf ice coffee. The guy instantly says we don’t have that. I’m confused because if you have ice and you have decaf coffee you have decaf ice coffee but he wouldn’t. I say since when do you not have ice and decaf coffee. Just says we don’t have that for you. Wouldn’t even try or ask someone to fill a cup with ice n put the hot coffee over it. Now that would be awesome customer service.

Went through the drive thru and ordered a Steak , Egg and cheese on an English muffin and a has brown…they had me park to wait for the steak… girl brings it to my car (20 mins later) and tells me they weren’t sure what the ingredients were for the steak so there is a slice of cheese in a box in case that should be on it… ummm what? I ordered a steak, egg and CHEESE sandwich… it should be on there… she’s tells me I don’t know and walks away…I had to get to work so a I leave… as I’m reaching onto the bag to grab my hash brown … guess what? there isn’t one in the bag… sadly not the first time I have found items missing on my order…. Don’t know if it’s a lack of training , terrible expediting or the staff just doesn’t give a crap…. Will not be going to that one again!

Went to mcdonalds after the gym for a late night craving. Ordered two mcdoubles with no buns (trying to cut down on carbs and get diced for the summer). Usually mcdonalds is confused and screws up the order. Chris at the window knew exactly what i was looking for and hooked me up! Knew exactly what i wanted. I rolled up to the window and had a great time talking to Chris. Great service, loved his energy. Gave me piping hot fries as well! Great experience overall, definitely a top McDonalds in the eastern CT area.
