I stopped myself writing a complaint many times about this store in Southern Walk Plaza, Broadlands, VA; however, I’m not doing that anymore. The primary role of a fast food store associate is to take orders, right? And the primary role of a store manager is to interview applicants for that feature. What is the problem with this store associates taking orders? Almost, each and everytime we order more than 2 items (either dine-in or take-away), at least 2-3 items (which are paid and shown in our receipt) are lacking from the bag. Is the manager aware of this problem? I am hundred percent sure that I am not the first and won’t be the last person who complains about this issue. I really wanted to call the store and talk to the manager; however, even the phone number for this store is incorrect on Google. They don’t care, I guess. Perhaps, the regional manager cares, or Tariq Hassan, or Joe Erlinger, or Chris Kempczinski cares about McDonald’s’ customers, we’ll see. During my recent visit to this McDonald’s location, I couldn’t help but notice how difficult it was to order a shake. Apparently, the shake machine is often out of order, making it almost impossible to get one on a daily basis. On one occasion, an employee recommended that I try a smoothie instead, but when I placed my order, they changed their mind and said that a shake was available instead. It was a strange experience, to say the least.

As a visitor there mobile orders aren’t the best way to offer your food. Chicken nuggets over cooked and the fries were soggy and very barely warm. There was no salt or pepper to season them with included in the bag. Would not come back to this McDonalds again. I am not a resident of Virginia but this has ruined me from getting food from any McDonalds.

Probably a 2 out of 3 chance this place will mess up your order. And you may think the more complex the order the ratio will increase. Not true. The easier your order, the more likely there’s something wrong. Plain cheeseburger with just meat n cheese huh? Well here’s a bun with mustard. McFlurry? Here’s some vanilla ice cream with a crushed Oreo on the top. You want to eat inside? Cool cool. But don’t expect napkins or ketchup anywhere. Those are locked down. Fries cold? Be lucky you didn’t get a plastic fork with a pickle slice and half a piece of old bacon on it instead.

I admit it: I’ve got a guilty pleasure and it goes by the name of McDonald’s. I love, periodically (keep your health and diet in mind, people), getting a fresh, hot order of a quarter pounder with cheese, fresh fries, maybe a splurge on 3-for-a-$1 cookies here, an upcharge for a vanilla milkshake there… from a great McDonald’s location.
