We went in after dinner and got 2 double quarter pounder meals. My first negative thing to see is when I went to fill up our cups the employee working to clean the lobby area was looking at me with disgust in her face. She told me that we were in the wrong store. The second thing was the Manager of the store came behind the counter and was harassing a customer for getting ice in his cup as a 3rd refill. He told the customer that if he tried to get anything else he would have the cops called on him and would physically fight him. It ruined my appetite and we left not even halfway through our meals. I understand that the location of the store is not ideal, but there is no excuse for a manager to ever threaten a customer. Not even if they were homeless and rude and didn’t pay anything.

All the employees that I interacted with were absolutely awesome! Especially the cashier who took my order and my money because I paid him all in pennies they were wrapped of course but he did not complain at all and actually they were quite pleased that I gave them the penny so they didn’t have to get them from the bank cuz they couldn’t the bank was closed! They were positive about it and made me feel not quite so embarrassed!

French fries definitely cooked in old oil. Worst McDonald’s fries I’ve ever had. Even the vanilla milkshake was bad. Neither tasted like a McDonald’s product.

The drive thru crew is usually wonderful here. I accidently selected pick up at counter for my mobile order and had the displeasure of having to interact with the ancient old woman at the counter. She was so disrespectful lecturing me about why I had to show her my order number for a full minute after I instantly complied.

The store manager had the audacity to tell a customer he couldn’t have his bike inside. That there was a sign, the customer clearly spoke broken English and was telling him he couldn’t read. The manager kept being rude stating no bikes and he can lock it up outside. Meanwhile another customer has a dog inside, no medical/ service dog vest or collar on. Dog was getting up on the benches and on customers while they were trying to eat. A worker mentioned this to the manager, but wasn’t handled at all. My son is allergic to dogs just like other people and you’re worried more about a bike?? This manager needs better training.

The morning crew has it dialed in I’m going neutral for food and atmosphere, as McDonald’s food is typically consistent no matter where you go, and I usually don’t dine in so I don’t have a clear idea of the atmosphere. They work quickly, they seldom get it wrong, and they are efficient. I’ve made possibly 30-40 stops to breakfast here over the years, and my order was wrong a whopping 1 time. Not to mention, it was an easy mistake to make. I got unsweetened tea instead of sweet tea. If you’re on Colfax and need a quick breakfast that comes as ordered, then this McDonald’s is a good place to stop.

Never thought I would review McDonald’s but when a McDonald’s does not even get its renowned golden fries right- I just have to call it out. Twice ordered fries and twice the fries were stale, chewy, cold and just not good. Please get management to show this McDonald’s how to make fries.
