One of the best restaurants I have been for fresh seafood at DMV! We ordered two dozens of extra large crabs and it did not disappoint. The crab was juicy, meaty, and fresh unlike other places where extra large is more like a medium. The pizzas were crispy and but heavy on the cheese. Elote, although not authentic, were good enough to distract yourself from old bay seasoning. They were quite busy when we went but service is fast and the waitress was attentive.

We came here for many years when it was Sue Island. The new owners have made a good thing even better. Steamed crabs–and corn–were done right, nice vibe, terrific service and they even had soft shell crabs! Save room for dessert, the key lime pie is delish!

MUST TRY!!! We visited here for the first time last Saturday evening around 5:00pm. It was fairly busy but we had no wait at all. I attribute that to the size of the dining room and the fact that they were very well staffed (it got busier as the night went on but service was still quick and smooth throughout our visit). The size of this place is huge! It just kept going. There is plenty of room to bring your whole family here. Unlike some other waterfronts in Essex they have dining space with a comfortable separation from the bar area. The restaurant was beautifully decorated with a laid back yet, classy feel. You could easily come here dressed up for a date night or dressed down for a casual family dinner. The staff were warm, friendly and attentive. Anything they didn’t know about the menu or oyster selection they were happy to find out and share. We had oysters from the ice bar, apps, entrees and drinks from the bar. The oysters were absolutely awesome! They were FRESH, ice cold, prepped and served well. For an app we had the crab dip which is served with a carrots, celery and the most delicious, soft doughy braided pretzel. For our entree we had one of the specials of the evening, garlic butter shrimp pizza. It was GREAT! Executed well and delicious! My mother had the crab cakes which were absolute units. They were huge and full of large clumps of crab meat. Aside from all the food we ordered everything we saw come out of the kitchen looked delicious. We cannot wait to go back and try other items we didn’t have during this visit. All in all this is a delightful place and such a great addition to Essex!!!!! This place looks like it will be a fun place to be during the summer months as well due to the large outdoor spaces!

Food was well prepared and tasty. Busy bar with bartender serving the room. Run off his feet. It would make life easier to add a flap style door in the center of the bar, effectively reducing distance and speeding up the service.

Let’s start by saying this was my third trip here. I actually invited 14 of my friends earlier this month to celebrate for my Birthday but the way that we were treated last night by wait staff and the manager really put a bad taste in my mouth. 4 LOCALS met to have dinner, we sat on the outside deck and two ordered drinks before I even sat down, as I did the waitress brought their drinks in plastic cups, one beer, one wine. One of the ladies does not care for drinking wine out of a plastic cup. The waitress tried to explain that this is how the bar poured it and that they do not allow glass on the deck. We then asked to see the manager. We understood this was not the waitresses job or fault in any way possible and that is why we asked to talk to a manager. When approached he did not apologize for this and only apologized for the way we feel, he said that we are in the process of becoming “ECO friendly” which to have plastic cups and straws is probably the least eco friendly you can get, but moving on. He said he was in the process of ordering cans for those who are sitting on the deck but that hasn’t taken place yet. Ok no big deal but as we sit in between two other tables of people you have served GLASS beer bottles to but now you want to refuse to give one of us a glass. Very disappointed in the way this was handled, no compromising and saying I can move you inside, no asking I am sorry I can not provide you with a glass but is there something else you would like to drink. Just excuse after excuse while you allow other customers to enjoy their beverages out of glass bottles but can’t provide a glass for wine. Then was told the waitress was now uncomfortable serving up and he will try to find someone else, followed by I am going to comp your 1 beer and you can leave. While all of us sat basically in shock that this is what the outcome of this has come to. If you are going to allow one, you cannot, not allow the others, and if you don’t have the cans to provide to sit outside the entire section needs to be closed for the time being. Not to mention, you aren’t serving us on paper plates to keep from those breaking. Very poor management and policy placement.

Boat parking was a lil sketch. But other than that, this place has been completely re-done. It’s very nice inside and the food is bangin’!

The atmosphere is nice. Our first visit. The grilled oysters were perfection.. Nice draft beer selection. Recommend a draft menu for customers and that staff know what is in tap. Chicken tenders were great. Crab soup is worthy of being called MD crab soup.
