I had the most amazing and delicious meal at McGarry’s pub. Corned beef and cabbage was over the top flavorful and just the ticket for that day. I ordered an extra quart of potato leek soup and cranberry walnut bread to take with me for dinner. Yummy, yummy, yummy!

The food was fabulous as was the staff. I had the shepherds pie and my wife had the meatloaf. We also had soup, beef barley and potato and leek. Those would be a meal in themselves. We will be returning to try the rest of the menu. James was fantastic in his suggestions and very attentive.

I have to say this used to be my favorite place to get a Reuben or Irish rolls. The server was excellent the Irish roles sucked big time if you’re interested in eating a bunch of fat and no flavor on the Thousand Island dip order this the rest of the meal leave commercial had no flavor and the other guests that were with me ordered meatloaf the vegetables were hard and not even cooked. If you want nursing home food go ahead and stop in but be careful of the fat you will choke on.

I’ve been going to McGarry’s for many years and the food is always good. They change the menu up seasonally and provide great new dishes to try. This does mean that your favorite dish may disappear, but there is always a chance for it to come back in the future. With that being said, there are always good choices available.

The food is amazing and worth the wait. They are usually very busy so it takes a while to get your food. But like I said, totally worth the wait. Kind of loud in there too, but they have a nice patio if you want it more quiet.

I just had the best French onion soup of my life! It was authentic with rye croutons, cheese, and all around goodness. The beef stroganoff had very deep flavors but was, in my opinion, a little too sweet.

The lady bartending was phenomenal. Food was absolutely perfect and full of flavor. We had the adult Mac and cheese with bacon, corn dogs, and I had a grilled cheese sandwich with squash soup lunch special. Great portions and reasonably priced. We will definitely go back.

I used to really like this place and came here often, for many years, but something has changed. The past three times the service has been awful and nonexistent. Currently sitting here and 5 tables have ordered and don’t have food. We ordered food 40 minutes ago and still haven’t received food with empty drinks and no one coming to the table to ask if we would like more. The bartender hasn’t greeted people standing at the door. I think there is one actual server working, one…on a Sunday at noon. If you are that understaffed close your doors or remove tables. Or just communicate with your customers that you are short staffed. If you aren’t in a hurry or hungry or thirsty then I guess this is the spot for you. I’m incredibly frustrated because this used to be a great restaurant. Like I said something has changed and it’s really sad. As someone who truly loves the food here, I won’t be back.

Great food and experience. We will be back! The cheese curds were the best I’ve ever had. Loved the fish and chips. You can’t beat Guinness on tap!
