We love getting a colossal from McKays every once in a while for silly occasions. They are so massive and just as delicious as their standard pizzas. There was a little confusion with ordering it this time, we called one night before wanting it to ask some questions and they advised we just preorder right then. Then they called back and said they don’t preorder. Then they called the next day and said they appreciate preorders. While a little confusing we were just so happy that we got our gigantic pizza at the time we wanted it. Super hot and tasty!

Haven’t had a problem with the food until now. I ordered delivery since they’re right down the road so it only took 1/2 hour or so. So in the end what did I get? $9.99 tasteless chicken pieces (won’t call them strip’s because half the pieces weren’t even nugget sized and consisted of 90% bland breading), $7.99 garlic breadsticks that had been overcooked and were too hard to eat (the included marinara did nothing to help), and a $27.99 pizza that looked good but was tasteless. How does one make such a tasteless pizza that had all of these toppings but none of the taste? That’s over $60+ down the drain. Incredibly disappointed at the poor quality. I’ll never order from there again.

Great atmosphere, very small but it’s not cramped. Seating is a little confusing when you first enter, there’s nothing saying to approach the bar to order or anything, but the staff is on it. Prices are really fair and the food is awesome.

I just want to say that I had the BEST experience with McKay’s Taphouse. I placed an order yesterday for 18 pizzas for a staff meeting I was having today. I told them there were three locations I needed them to deliver to, and I would pick up 6 of the pizzas to deliver myself to a remote site. When I walked in at 11:15 to pick up the “carry out” part of the order, somehow they had put down the wrong date and they thought it was for the next day. Unbelievably, they said, “no problem, we can make this work”. They said they’d have the carry out part of the order ready in 15 minutes and the others would be delivered within the hour. AMAZINGLY they did it, AND the pizzas were FANTASTIC. Major props to McKay staff for jumping on it and doing it with such great customer care, integrity and quality. BEST STAFF and PIZZA in Bham!

Nice tap and bottle craft beer selection. I stopped in for a beer and left with a couple cans and a pizza for dinner. Counter service, but the bartender was helpful and stopped out to the tables a few times. Tables were under a tent outside and a few up front. Parking on the side of the building.
