First time here. The staff was super friendly. All smiles, humor and great service. I particularly like that there were no female waitresses trying to flirt with my husband. .lol. Food was rather good. They had several seafood specials like halibut and crab legs, but we are more of steak and burgers. Hubby had the chipotle burger and really like the sauce, I had the porterhouse. Could have used a tad more seasoning. Bathrooms were fairly clean, but there is a musty smell, but after a few minutes you don’t notice. We went around 5 and it wasn’t busy but by the time we left at 7 it was.

We made a reservation and when we got there they acted as we had no reservation. But, still we got seated. The food is really pretty good but they are always out of their specialty- Halibut McNaughton. This happened for the second time tonight! Our reservation was for 6:30, made in advance, and we only go there mainly so my wife can have it. If they know how many reservations they have, they should not run out of their special. The acoustics are horrible and they should do something to help with that. Also, it’s just a big open room and needs some booths or something to give it a better atmosphere! Service is slow.

EXCELLENT dinner! Three of us went, we had the Jerk Swordfish, Halibut McNaughton and Stuffed Halibut. Fresh, never frozen fish from Hawaii and Oregon and it was absolutely delicious!

It was hot as hell in there and it was cool out that day. No windows or doors opened. They didn’t have any Corona or Busch light. My husband ordered the prime rib, one side was extremely salty and the other part has no flavor. It was also very grissly. I had a burger and fries, definitely wasn’t the best. Our waitress seemed nice and accommodating, as I was a bit frustrated.

The cook is incredible! We have been there twice recently and not gotten our food for over 2 hrs. This last time we had a 630 reservation and at 8:15 they told us it was going to be at least an hour before we would be served. They sat MANY tables that were 6 to 8 people while telling us it would be another hour. Meanwhile they ran out of what we wanted to order due to the other large tables ordering. We had to walk out hungry with no other grills open. Really unfortunate but we will never go back.

Some super drunk guy names Conrad claimed to own the place.. was super rude.. was outside yelling at this poor girl with a back brace on at the top of his lungs.. never go back to McNaughton pub .. seems like it’s ran by people that belong at another facility in McNaughton
