They only had a two other tables in the dinning room when we arrived. We ordered and then proceeded to wait for 55 minutes for our three burgers. A table that arrive 15 minutes after us got their food at the 1 hr mark. It was at that point we walked out and went to the Mexican place across the highway. Ten minutes later we were eating. The mexican restaurant was a good choice. The atmosphere there was good too. I wonder if the folks in the painting at Porfirio’s died waiting for food at McOttos.

Family restaurant is in a great location. Very clean and nicely decorated. Food is good nd price is right. The tenderloin was large and good. Service was friendly and speed was acceptable during lunch. I will be back.

Service was horrible. Took my granddaughters there for lunch. Not busy at all. No silverware on table. Brought our drink order but no straws, although the waitress had a bunch of straws in her apron. Food came, still no silverware or napkins. Youngest granddaughter had to grab silverware from another table. For drink refills the waitress grabbed all three cups by sticking her fingers in them, and brought back the same cups. I had iced tea and my refill was warm, no ice at all.

Food took forever. Only 2 other tables seated before us and one was already eating. Drinks took 20 minutes to get. The dining area is very dark and the tables are sticky. The waitresses were very short with people. Food was average.

Worst experience I’ve had for breakfast we waited 1hour and 10 minutes only got 1/2 our order and it was cold. When I finally got my toast it was plain (no butter)and cold. When we complained the other waitress butted in and said it not our fault we’re so busy

Terrible experience this morning. Which is very sad as I use to love eating here. Waited an hour for food, at which point we were told there was a party in the back. Would have appreciated knowing that before we ordered but there were only two other tables with customers when we ordered. Not all food came out, part of order was wrong, part was cold, waitress didn’t check back so had to find her to let her know, at which point I just wanted to pay and leave. Had to stand at register at the bar to wait for check. While paying I was treated SO disrespectfully by the waiterss with brown hair. She told me they just couldn’t help it because they had so many customers. My suggestion to her, which I offered politely, is to not seat people if you know you can’t serve them. Give them the option to wait if they choose. We would’ve appreciated that courtesy. The waitress then said to me, “Well, I’m not going to argue with you.” She must not take suggestions very well as I was far from arguing. As for the terribly rude waitress, I realize that it is hard to find people to work which explains some the problems this morning. Had that only been the case, I would be willing to give McOttos another try. However, the disrespect I was shown by the waitress with her smart remarks will keep me away for good.

Awesome staff and delicious food. I haven’t tried the buffet yet, but it looks like it would be worth it. I love breakfast, and this establishment knows great breakfast. A generous amount of food for a good price. Check it out!

Very horrible service. Keep hearing about how bad the kitchen is doing by the front staff. We were told 30 min after being here that we got put behind a table of 30. No one in the front has any food and we’ve drank 2 full glasses of beverages. We are still waiting. Apparently the salad and soup is ready. We do not recommend this restaurant

So far so good with mcottos! We have only had the pizza from here and it’s the best in anamosa for sure! Buffalo chicken and supreme and fantastic! We have never eaten in but every interaction with staff is friendly. If I had to knock them on something it’s a little pricey compared to other pizza in the area. Recommend to stop by if you haven’t yet.

I’d have to say we stopped going here for a long time because every time we came and ordered salad and soup combo the soup was always cold and they would tell us they had a kind of soup and all 3 of us would order it and only have one bowl. But they have changed how the soup is kept warm so I gave them an extra star for that but they still sell soup they never have enough of which is a bummer. But there trying to get better
