I ate here when flying out of Kansas City. First and foremost it is airport food so it isn’t top notch BBQ. I was still a bit disappointed with the quality of food as well as the quality of service. I sat down and ordered right away only to see a couple next to me sit down after me and get there food before me. I had to wave my waiter down for more water after getting my meal because they did not even come back to check after bringing my food out. The pulled pork was mediocre and a bit dry. The burnt ends were a bit tough and quite chewy. I didn’t expect it to be as good as the local BBQ restaurants outside the airport but it could have been a good bit better. It was a decent place to get some BBQ at the airport but I certainly wouldn’t benchmark KC BBQ from eating here. There is much better to be had in the city.

Honestly, I was not sure to think at first. I have been to a good bit of the kc area bbq places, but never meat matches. This was one of the best bbq sandwhiches I have had so far. Generous sweving of brisket on a perfectly toasted roll. The bbq beans were really good as well, with chunks of meat in them and a dance that was not too aggressive. And to top it off, they had yuengling.

It was a Sunday at 3:30… service was quick and the food was good. The burnt ends was different, but surprisingly easy to eat on a sandwich. For an airport restaurant it was pretty darn good. Cost of the burnt sandwich, a side salad amazingly delicious baked beans (not spicy at all) and a lemonade came to $25.55. I’d stop by again on my way through KCI.

Just tried Meat Mitch in the airport and it was really good. The waitress Jeanie was really nice and hospitable. The food was good, I had the burnt ends and they were good. This is the best airport BBQ I had. The wait was quick and they serve Coke products.

Some of the best food I’ve ever had in an airport.

Was excited flying in from out of town to try Meet Mitch. Ordered brisket, burnt ends and add on of Ribs. The burnt ends were dry (old taste), brisket was rubbery and no taste. The 3 ribs we received were not cut (plastic knife) they were the best of the other two meats. The sauce Alabama Sauce was missing-waitress said they have never dropped it off? Why advertise you have it? Coleslaw worth trying. All in all, I’m a home grown KC girl and expected great meat. Maybe next time—-or not

Had the pulled pork sandwich. I added the Whomp bbq sauce. It was really good. Kinda expensive but I guess that’s to be expected at the airport.

Should have written this sooner because I’m still thinking about my sandwich. I ordered a Black Angus carved brisket sandwich. It was the best brisket sandwich I’ve ever had. I was so blown away, I’ve never had food at an airport that good. PLUS, the amazing curly fries were a complete bonus. They had just the right amount of seasoning and were fried perfectly. Can’t wait until the next time.

Brisket was good, but I would skip the burnt ends. Beans were also good as well as the curly fries.
