What a great gem! After our original plans feel through, someone local recommended Medallions. We had a group of 40 walk in without reservations; they scrambled and was able accommodated us without a wait time. The food was great and service was even better. Medallion’s has a very nice, casual atmosphere with an old fashion feel to it with the analog clocks and rotary dial phones. All the staff were wonderful and friendly. If your ever around Philippi, be sure to make a stop here. You won’t be disappointed!

The only diner left on this desolate strip of street once known as the main street of Philippi. The atmosphere is comfortable with plenty of blue booths and tables too. Our waitress was very nice and accommodating and the food was good.

Casual, friendly crowd, good breakfast and sandwiches. Buffet is a good deal, but we opt to order fresh. They’ve handled large family gatherings of 10-15 people with no trouble, even had our own room and wait staff.

This place is the definition of an America diner. Sweet and accommodating staff, food was delish, fluffy pancakes, real cut potato homefrys, and strong coffee. I really enjoyed stopping here and taking in this small town in WV. so cozy and comfortable

Almost gave it 3 starts as the $6.50 breakfast buffet is livable. Don’t even bother putting the pancakes or french toast on your plate. Then I got the bill and found out that the charge $2 for a cup of coffee. Really? Perhaps the lunch items are better, but the breakfast wasn’t worth the $12 after tax and tip. A generous two stars.

Best place to eat in Philippi. This unfortunately isn’t a hard to get rating considering there are only 3 other choices to dine in this small town. The medallion has an original diner atmosphere and down home service. The Cobb salad was excellent with home fried bacon strips and fresh boiled eggs.
