I was pleasantly surprised with this Chinese restaurant. Our server was friendly and all the food everyone ordered was delicious.

Don’t judge a book by its cover.

This makes no sense. The reviews were so high for such a small town it didn’t make sense so I went to give it a try and I pulled up and instantly wanted to turn around and find somewhere else. The outside screams “run for your life” but I told myself the ratings can’t lie can they!?! I went in and ordered everything including the broken front door said don’t do it but I did… and am thankful I did!!! This food was INSANELY good!! I still can’t believe how good it was!! Maybe the biggest hidden gem EVER!!!

The food is not great, at all. Was listed as a Buffett and was super sad when I got there and it wasn’t. There was 3 other parties and they had us all jammed into one side so we were basically screaming over each other. The waitress was great though.

Wow, open until 8pm! That’s raging for this area. We were famished. (I’m a visitor) Nice to see a Chinese restaurant; nary a Chinese person to be seen, however. The broccoli beef tasted like beef stew. I don’t think it had oyster sauce in it. It did have ginger. The orange chicken was very sweet and even less like Chinese food. Get hot mustard, that will help. The house fried rice was not very fried! It was definitely not brown and did not contain egg. Shrimp had that good snap to it. Overall good taste and portion size. The egg rolls were great and the dumplings, while very thick skinned, were probably hand made, which was a nice surprise. Give it a try, Mainers, it seems designed for the demographic. Yes, the inside could use a little cleaning and tidying, right as you get in the door there is a pile of job applications, (make them come all the way in and ask!) and in the doorway, a tangle of dusty cords etc on the floor, that’s easily fixed, come on. There aren’t a lot of options here so I would definitely go again.

Nice people, but a bit bland. They give the appearance of caring, but their actions sometimes suggested otherwise. Drab dining room with no character, and questionable cleaning practices, since our table and seats had a tacky/sticky feel which was a bit uncomfortable. Salty food was too salty and food with sweet sauces were too sweet. Maybe the locals are okay with the extremely Americanized flavor and heavily processed appearance of the food, but I did not like it at all.

Phenomenal costumer service. Food is above average for Maine Chinese food.

Food was excellent and the waitress did a great job for being short handed on staff.

They could have spared a little more on the plate. I’ll stick to New Garden from now on. It’s so much better
