Unless they go back to making them like they had for 40 years I will not go back. They were special and I know many people that would go out of their way to get them but not now. Explain why you would change the best donuts. Now too much dough and thin icing.

This establishment has been located here as long as I can remember. The smells emanating prior to opening in the morning are enough to drive one mad. The donuts are still the sweet indulgence they were when I was a child. The coffee was good, the staff friendly. It was a wonderful and nostalgic experience.

Seems Mel-O-Cream has been getting some unsavory reviews lately and I am wondering why? I had them for the very first time today and all I can say is, what is wrong with you bad reviewers with your obviously non pleasing personas? Opinions are one thing but do you even have tastebuds? These doughnuts were the best I’ve ever had and I’ll write that on a billboard. Quit trying to destroy a Lincoln tradition all because of unreasonable expectations. Omg, did they change the recipe for creme filling in their donuts?? Picked up a dozen & half for my family this morning and the creme filling was like eating crisco. We had to scoop it out in order to eat the donuts. Was going to give some to the nursing staff at hospital but thought I better not.
