The Shrimp and Grits was absolutely amazing. But it was hidden behind extremely poor customer service. We were waiting 20 minutes after being seated before anyone came to our table with water. We ended up ordering as soon as he came by due to the wait. It then took 30 minutes for us to get our food and it was brought out by a different server who seemed like she hated her job. After we got our food, another 20 minutes went by and no one else came by the table. I finally had to stop someone for me to get a Togo box and the check. I could understand this if it was busy, but there were several empty tables. Very disappointed in the service.

Couldn’t imagine a worse experience. We sat down for our reservation for brunch and a server didn’t greet us for one hour. We had to get drinks from the bar. All of our food was cold. The grits were thinner than water. The server was rude and uncaring. Meanwhile, there seems to be plenty of staff on their phones sitting at the bar. We never got any sauces or sides that we asked for. This place should be ashamed. Please do not visit this money laundering front.

We made a reservation for my aunt’s birthday which the website allowed; however, we showed up and they were closed. When asked next door at their sister restaurant, they said they haven’t been open for the public for months. It’s strictly a private event space with an occasional wine dinner m.

We had a lovely experience at Melinda’s. I had the salmon with a side of mushroom risotto and Brussel sprouts. It was all cooked and flavored perfectly. I’m not sure why they don’t specify on the menu that the salmon is wildcaught but it is! Which is an important factor for me! Farm raised – no thank you. Service was top notch as well. Atmosphere was relaxing – would maybe suggest a different music genre (we heard Justin Timberlakr, Lady Ga Ga, etc.) Maybe something a little more relaxing.

Very good experience here. We had chicken and waffles, fried green tomatoes, and mimosas for brunch and everything was outstanding. Service was fantastic as well! The chicken and waffles were great but the fried green tomatoes were EXCELLENT. Definitely will be back!

We have been there several times since Eric took over the old Bistro 208 and moved across the street to the new Melinda’s. The food has always been fantastic and the staff is truly outstanding. They make you feel welcome and are very attentive. They have an extensive bar and an interesting list of specialty drinks. If you decide on the house salad to start your meal, my advice would be to stick with the half-salad unless you are really hungry.

Great food good atmosphere, if you’re looking for some good food this is the place to go. The cajun Alfredo is amazing, the grilled pork ribeye is also on point. And they usually have a weekly special until it sells out, this week it was crab, so make sure u get there on a Thursday to make sure you get something off the menu or the special before it’s gone. Brunch on Saturday and Sunday is probably the best deal, the chicken and waffles are amazing.
