I can’t say more than WOW! This is a great & cozy place to go and vool off with friends, love ones or the Best LCCS co-wokers (friends)❤ like I did. The bartender, I give a 10+. He ran out of a drink I wanted but this guy made me a cocktail to die for with different fruits and vodka. I practically thank him for running out. Thanks BOSS for a great evening!

I am laughing as I read Michael’s review below… he was there the same night as my boyfriend and I. We also had a wonderful date night at Melissa’s! We’re new to the area and have been meaning to get out and try some of the local flavor. I had the roasted duck which was amazing, and my boyfriend had the shrimp and lobster pasta dish. I could smell the basil coming from his food, everything was so fresh! A must is the pretzel sundae–a pretzel crumble and peanut butter sauce! Delicious! We can’t wait to go back.

It’s been said that a memorable meal needs three ingredients: great food, terrific ambiance, and wonderful people to enjoy it with. My eldest daughter took my wife and middle daughter out for my birthday last night–and it qualified hands-down as a “memorable meal.” The appetizers rocked–especially the asparagus spears and prosciutto wrapped in a kind of phylo dough (who thinks up this stuff?). The crab cakes were as good as you’ll find on Chesapeake Bay. For an entree, I ordered the braised short ribs (a favorite, I was told), and they nearly fell apart on the plate. It’s hard to say which tasted better soaked in the dark gravy: the meat, the freshly mashed potatoes or the perfectly prepared spinach. And the Malbec topped it off. Great to find such a gem–linen tablecloths and napkins, soft lighting, and quiet music you’re only vaguely aware of–so close to home. Wow.
