Amazing! I ate at Melly Mel’s when they had a storefront in 2012 when I was visiting from Iowa and never stopped thinking about it. Fast forward to today, I knew she was only doing catering, but a few weeks ago I reached out to her and asked if she would let me order a feast for my new husband and I to enjoy in our hotel room while in town for our honeymoon, and she kindly obliged. Carmell is so kind and I wish her the best in everything she does. Her food is incredible and you can really taste all the love she puts into what she does. Thank you so much for giving us this special meal!

Madison folks! Look no further for catered soul food. Melly Mells is the best. We had fried chicken, vegetarian greens, Mac n’ cheese, yams, corn bread, dressing. Every single thing was delicious. Prompt service with a smile.

Carmell catered our wedding, and it was the best wedding food I’ve ever had in my life. We had fried perch, fried and baked chicken, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, cabbage & kale, coleslaw, and cornbread. The guests won’t shut up about how good it was. She even made the sweet potato pie that we had for dessert instead of cake. 100% recommend her catering for your next event. I’m seriously drooling while writing this, just thinking about that mac & cheese.

Melly Mel’s catered my company’s Thanksgiving and it was incredible. Food arrived on time, hot and ready to serve. Every morsel was decadent and unbelievable. We had a wide spread and then topped it off with four different deserts. Wow! Everyone was very full and very pleased. This was a memorable meal for my company to share. Big thanks to Melly Mel’s. A hard place to find, but well worth the trek. This is my favorite eatery in all of Madison-dom. The owner makes her own freaking caramel for her incredible caramel cake. My husband says “It tastes like Christmas.” Carmelle and her family are incredibly friendly and always happy to see new people. Incredible food for the price. We always over tip a lot because we feel so badly that we pay so little for such an amazing meal. The southern style food is perfect. I haven’t tried the lasagna yet, but Mama knows how to cook so I know it’ll be good! “Where your Mama at!?”
