I didn’t think places like Mel’s still existed. Bringing the old diner experience, with luncheonette seats as well as tables and skilled old-school waitresses, the feng shui alone is worth the visit. But the food is even better. And the prices don’t seem to have heard about post-pandemic inflation, leaving room for a generous tip. I was on a road trip so don’t live nearby, but I’ll 100% be back the next time I’m in the area.

Outstanding! We met friends there for breakfast before leaving town for an extended time, so we sat and talked for awhile. The staff was incredibly attentive, (my coffee cup was always full) friendly, and accommodating. And the food was great. Highly recommend.

They don’t have any vegan options on the menu, but I got their coffee black and a plain bagel with Smucker’s orange marmalade and it was so delicious (and is vegan). I think I might go back just for that, and my waitress was very nice. Oh, and it only cost $6

The food was good. Came out in a timely fashion, and tasted great. The service was excellent. Punctual and kind. The atmosphere was a bit lacking, the seat was uncomfortable, and the main door slams it was a bit jarring. I did have a good breakfast. That door was just really annoying.

Not very acomadating ( NO SUBSTITUTES), wouldn’t replace 2 sausage for 2 bacon go figure…stopped going here when Mel sold to new owner can’t handle the heat in the kitchen… it’s ok plenty of other local breakfasts places to go to….
