Ordered a regular cheese slice and they are truly an NY size. The Pizza comes out with the perfect soft crisp while still being very thin. The mozzarella used is very fresh and gives of that traditional salty and milky taste. The sauce is definitely one of the better sauces outside of NYC. Sauce has a subtle sweetness that compliments the entire slice. Next I ordered the Margaritta slice and that too turned out to be wonderfully crafted. Perfect ratio of sauce, cheese, and fresh basil. I would definitely recommend this pizza shop to anyone traveling outside the nyc into the Hudson valley area. After, 20+ years of eating pizza all over nyc I can say for sure this is a solid pizza joint.

Tonight was the first time ordering from Mel’s and I’m always skeptical about ordering from new places but was pleasantly surprised. Ordered delivery through a different app. Ordered a burger and fries, 6 jumbo mild wings, calzone, mozzarella sticks, canolli and two 20oz sodas. First, the price was great for what we ordered. Easily would have paid over $55 at our pizza place and this came in at $44. The food was great! The burger was thick and juice and tasted like it was fresh off the flame. Fries weren’t soggy. The calzone was cooked through (which is hard to get) and the ricotta, mushrooms and sausage were all good quality. Mozzarella sticks were mozzarella sticks, not burnt or exploded. The wings were the star of the meal! When they say jumbo, you get jumbo! 6 wings was more like 10! I got mild and the flavor was good. Canolli had wonderful flavor and a great shell! Thoroughly impressed with this place and will be ordering again!

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed one of my most visited places to eat. I have been eating at Mel’s before ownership changed and they still maintain great, high, fresh food standards. Their pizza is some of the best around and their specialty pies are always delicious. They pop out a little before lunch and definitely sell out! Their soups are delicious, their subs and wraps are a lunch favorite. Their garlic knots are award worthy, they are perfectly toasted and come with so much garlic on top. I will try to remember to post more pictures of their food, but most of the time we dive right in!

Wonderful Italian restaurant and pizzeria! Ordered from here a couple of times and their food is consistently good. Friendly staff, brand new owner for the last couple of months.. The food is delicious, and their homemade red sauce is a perfect blend of tomato and seasonings. Absolutely the best Italian food! Service was outstanding. Very particular about Italian food and I was not disappointed. The eggplant parm dinner was superb. Definitely will return. Highly recommend! Great place. Put it on your list A neighborhood gem, I highly recommend.

I asked for Recommendations on Fish and chips and tried Peter Sinapi’s on 376 that got 3 recommendations. The Fish was very fresh Cod, the Guinness batter lite and very tasty. Also had the Minestrone soup and the clams all very tasty. Like the friendly family atmosphere.
