We, a party of 6, arrived at 6pm. We were told they were out of several items on the menu. The reason was because of unexpected parties the nite before. This was understandable. Our food was good and the service was very good. I ordered blackened shrimp and it was delicious. Our waitress took pictures of our group and let us hang out till after closing. Of course, we tipped very graciously.

We won’t be back, lesson learned! It took half an hour just to order, then another half hour for a salad. Finally, after a longer wait…My two tiny lobster dinner was finally served over cooked and very tough to cut (with a steak knife) and rubbery to chew like gristle(baked hard with cayenne or paprika, not steamed?). And the seafood platter was a joke, small with very tiny(cut in half?) oysters that were fried too hard! Understaffed, not friendly, food not worth the price! It was my first time there, needless to say…come on Mel, step up your game!

Worst brisket I’ve ever had in my life. My plate was mostly fat and very little meat. Even the parts that looked meaty were fatty. I’ve never been offended by BBQ before in my life til now lol. Literally gross.

I haven’t liked a single dish from this restaurant. I’m from Southern Louisiana, and there isn’t one thing Cajun or Creole about the dining here. The food is extremely salty or slathered in butter beyond what is reasonable. They don’t know how to cook a steak. It came out SOLID black (ordered medium-rare), and neither the server nor the cook thought to do anything about that. Let that sink in for a second. I don’t feel like steak is a region specific meal. There are universal standards for what constitutes medium rare. Their gumbo, their soups, their crawfish etouffee are all disgusting. Just FYI… as a true cajun, please note that this isn’t our food.

For this place to be a top restaurant for El Dorado is a little embarrasing. This is mediocre at BEST. If you like food straight from the freezer, cooked, and thrown on your plate without any seasoning or flavor, this is the place for you.

Crab legs are always on point here. Hot crab dip is the best appetizer. Can’t go wrong honestly with anything on the menu.
