We had a awesome lunch. Mushroom Swiss burger and fries, chicken Cesar wrap and chilli. Everything was great. The place is brand new. Staff was super friendly. Lots of parking full bar. Highly recommended.

Seems like a nice place. Cinnamon roll pancakes and bacon delicious, also Detroit craft soda. Went on Sunday morning so I can not speak to alcoholic drinks or lunch/ dinner food. They do have specials though Tuesday through Sunday. Tacos- Tuesday, Polish – Wednesday, Italian one day, ribs another, etc. If I lived/ visited area often I would be back for sure. My experience very positive. Recommended by local priest in the area who I know.

What an amazing restaurant. We have been there several times at different times and the food was awesome, the service was top notch and everyone was friendly. On Saturday before Father’s Day we have breakfast. I had a Farmers Omelet with Sausage Gravy. It was filled with meat, veggies and cheese and the sausage gravy put the finishing touches on a perfect omelet. Thank you for being so kind to us.

I live in Metro Detroit, but come to Brown City a couple times a year. I attend the church camp there, every year. Anyway, I’d heard about Melvin Tavern and had to try it. I was NOT disappointed. The food was top notch, the service was excellent, the food was fair priced and the atmosphere was great as well. I wish I could eat here more often haha. 10/10 would recommend.

Service was slow, I don’t really blame the server because she seemed to be doing her job just fine. The person who I think was the cook (older short lady with short hair) was busy talking to people at the bar. She was really loud and had foul language. I myself didn’t care about the language but my mother didn’t care for it at all and I did have two of my grandchildren with me. The food was overcooked and cold at the same time. (I’m not sure how that happened.??) I would not have served that food to anyone, I would have apologized and remade it. I wasn’t going to complain about any of this until we got food that most of us did not eat. I would NOT recommend this restaurant.
