Went to Mendozas on a whime as I was surprised to find a Colombian restaurant so far south at the Jersey Shore. I wasn’t expecting too much from it but was pleasantly surprised as it rivals anything up North Jersey. The Tamales Tolimenes were a gem as I can only get those from relatives…never find them in restaurants. The short Rib Soup was awesome and only ordered it because I wasn’t sure how the Tamales were going to turn out. This is thr reason I went home full and had to get the rest to go. I’ll be back with more family and friends for sure.

Mendoza’s is a must try! The space is small and cozy, and the smell of the grill welcomes you the minute you walk in. Great service, food, and location. It was our first time here, so we decided to try and share a few different items. Everything was seasoned so well, came out hot, and the food was so fresh. The portions were generous and the prices were affordable. Can’t wait to come back!

I went there for the first time today and had an excellent experience. It was busy but the food was very tasty and authentic Colombian. We needed something like this around here. 5 stars. Can’t wait to try their weekday special. I was told there’s a different soup everyday.

I go there a lot on Fridays for their desserts that are amazing and the man in the front always talks highly about their food and tell me to come eat one day and I was anxious to one day go and try it my self . So this Sunday I went and man he was not wrong . One of the Best Colombian food places I’ve been to, and I’ve been to ALOT ! Great flavor and amazing people . Definitely will be back with the family to share their amazing cuisine!

This is one of the best restaurants in the area. It’s consistently delicious. The staff is incredibly kind. I cannot get enough of the food at Mendoza’s. It is always packed inside when I have gone in person and everyone’s always happy as they eat their meal. My favorite things on the menu are the steak with grilled onions and the short ribs. And they have the best rice and beans I’ve ever had in my life. And they give you all these delicious sauces with everything. So good! I’ve never had better flan. Also, I enjoy trying all the sodas from Colombia. I hope this place stays in business forever.

Not worth it. The prices are high and portions are small. Their plates are not tasty. For example I ordered pollo salteado and it was disgusting. Two pieces of not properly cooked chicken. Didn’t have the potatoes or sauce this plate it’s supposed to have. The rice portion super small, the beans taste horrible. The sweet bananas were decent but not good. Overall this place its not good, and I wouldn’t order again.
