I believe the owner said they have been serving food since 1976! Very friendly service and unique enchilada sauce that’s delicious! Family owned and operated I recommend trying a tamale and the chicken chimichanga plate!

A Port Clinton staple and always reliably comforting. The owner and her son are always friendly and welcoming and the food, which is classic roadside Tex-Mex, has been delivered consistently for decades. Their beef and chorizo tacos are topped with high quality longhorn colby, which has always been my favorite thing about them, served on grilled corn tortillas and served with their homemade Verde sauce, which can vary in heat depending on the time of year. I’m also a big fan of their Avocado Supreme, which is like a seven layer dip made to order.

Mendoza’s my favorite restaurant in Port Clinton and one my favorites anywhere. The owner makes the sauces from scratch and is a very nice woman. Her green hot sauce has great flavor not just heat.

I absolutely love this place. A wonderful mother and son team cooking authentic food, with fresh ingredients all the time. I love spending time with my family here, try the avocado taco, beef nachos, quesadillas, kids meal hot dogs, and of course wet burritos for sure. Thanks for a great time always!

Worst Mexican restaurant I have ever been to. Food was cold, environment FILTHY. The staff was rude. This is not surprising, considering this place, for as long as I can remember, is never busy. In an area that during the summer is bustling.. that should be a big indicator. I’m not sure how they are in business still, unless it is a front for something else.
