Finally came to check out this local restaurant for dinner. They close relatively early (8pm the latest but varies based on day) and I normally eat late. The menu is relatively simple, but there’s a good variety. We ended up getting the camarones a la diabla (spicy shrimp), chicken enchiladas, and an agua fresca (Jamaica). Food came out pretty quickly and we were given some chips and salsa to munch on while we waited.

A small Mexican restaurant with authentic food. Enjoyed the Barbarossa El conde which was flavorful soup with tender meat. Tacos were excellent.

Though unassuming from the front, this place honestly surprised me. The al pastor and carne asada were well marinated and were crisp yet juicy. The super tacos are a bit messy and a little heavy with the inclusion of rice AND beans but for the amount you get, I can’t complain. Opt for the regular tacos if you really want to appreciate the taste of the meat

So glad they are open again. The market is gone, but the taqueria is open. Nice remodel and same great food. Best burritos in the Bay Area. First timers should try the carnitas.

The staff was great, very friendly. The food was so-so. I was expecting a lot more out of a restaurant with a long history and an eager staff. I think of a taco as having a great balance of bold flavors–in particular, spicy, sweet, sour–and these tacos were middle of the road.
