We had an early dinner at The Pioneer Woman’s Mercantile. Everything there is to die for and mostly home cooking type recipes. We’re still on keto but had a extra special dinner. Our server Eva was remarkable and took us to a booth. So accommodating. She answered questions about the menu and offered one for a souvenir. She was outstanding in her service to us. Eva brought us a complimentary biscuit with butter and mixed berry jam. We had to have a bite.

We had breakfast and it was fabulous! By going early, we missed all the long lines and got right in and spent time shopping after before it got too crowded. Wonderful experience

Great food and atmosphere! Cinnamon rolls are also delicious. We had breakfast, shopped the town then went and had a late lunch. Sweet tea for $.25!!??? Yes!!

Came for lunch one day and had the porkchops, they were rubbery and the gravy was gross and loaded with salt. Came back for breakfast and it was wonderful. Kid friendly, even though it doesn’t seem like they get them too much.

The portions are huge. We shared the meatballs and Lad’s Chicken sandwich. Both were yummy! I loved the little sprouts sprinkled on the meatballs a very nice touch. The pickles with the sandwich were crunchy sweet. Loved the hand cut fries they were the size of steak fries. There was a 45 minute wait for the table for lunch.

Our first time eating here. We heard about this place from all the locals and thought we would drive up and try it. The wait was 5 minutes to get a table; we heard the line is usually out the door. We tried the pot pie, country fried steak, chicken parmesan, and beet salad. We also had biscuits (delicious with homemade jam) and side salads. The food was delicious and Amber, our waitress was extremely attentive. There is also a nicely stocked store attached with various shirts, books, kitchenware, etc. The upstair area offers desserts- we were full and passed on that.

I enjoyed shopping & lunch. Be prepared to wait to be seated at the restaurant. It was an hour and a half wait & we arrived at 11. I got the chicken sandwich, pretty good. My husband got the Dr Pepper Pork Belly & Grits *$17.)… man was that great! I’ll probably order that next time around. I don’t even like grits. Upstairs I got the Cowboy Coffee drink $3.50, it had a kick…a little spicy going down the throat, but I liked it. I thought all the store items were very overpriced, but that tourist shopping for you.

A real treat! We got the chicken pot pie(which is made with their biscuit dough) and it was rich and creamy, so delicious. Also got the pork belly which was amazing, could really taste the Dr Pepper and Chipotle. Now….the garlic parmesan fries….those need a warning on the menu! It was about 3lbs of french fries absolutely covered in garlic and cheese. It was enough to feed 6 people as an app. Highly recommend the fires!
