Had such a delicious Thursday night dinner with friends!! Our waitress, Anastasia, was so kind and attentive, she made us feel so welcome 🙂 A huge thank you to Chef Mike for the beautiful presentation and food. Will definitely be coming back to try more, and recommend this place to anyone looking for good unique italian food in center city!

The Ricotta Cavatelli was a lot of food and delicious with zucchini and asparagus. I enjoyed the freshness and croutons in the Caesar salad. And eating al fresco was fantastic.

We absolutely love Mercato! We’ve been here a couple times & the food is always amazing! The staff is also super friendly. We also had our wedding dinner here & everything was perfect. We had the restaurant for a private dinner for 30 people. Everyone loved the food & the ambiance. I highly recommend Mercato for any date night or for a micro event. You will NOT be disappointed.

Loved it here! Tasty appetizers and delicious entrees, and BYOB is a huge plus! We got the Whipped Ricotta and a Scallop special to start, and the Pyramid Pasta and Steak & Crispy Gnocchi.

Went for restaurant week. 1st course excellent. My whipped burrata with figs was amazing. Portion big enough to share. I ate every drop because it was so great. Perfect flavor. My husband had the stuffed meatballs which were great but not really stuffed. Perfect flavor. I had the fish platter which was good. I deducted a star because my husbands Bolognese looked like a bowl of oatmeal and he didn’t like it because it looked so bad. My Tiramisu was great my husbands sherbet came melted. All in all I loved it a lot , my husband not too much.

This place is superrrr mediocre. Don’t even think about it. Would never come back here. The lighting is way too bright like a cafeteria. The steak was so dry, flavorless, yet expensive. Mom got veal Marsala which had a generic smoky flavor and her mashed potatoes were bland and chalky. Nothing redeemable here. EXCEPT the oysters were good. They were worth it.

Mercato easily ranks as one of my best restaurant week experiences. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. We both had the mussels to start and the broth was very good. I thoroughly enjoyed my order of squid ink pasta with spicy crab meat sauce. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce had just the right amount of spice and plenty of crab. Service was friendly and were quick to find seating when we were originally told we would have to wait despite having a reservation.

Really solid BYOB. The mozzarella and sopressata app was one of the best things I’ve eaten recently. Short rib and pyramid pasta entre were both very nice. ~$30 a plate for ok portion sizes. May as well be cash only with a 3.25% card fee, but overall I would go back. On a Thursday it wasn’t crowded but was busy, which I think is best for atmosphere. Seating was a little tight but not unexpected for a corner restaurant in philly
