What a cute little café. We ordered the bacon Jalapeno burger and the Cajun omelet with coffee and orange juice. The marble rye bread was yummy so was the jam. The coffee was not too great neither was the orange juice. I do think the food was a bit overpriced. We spent $40 on the 2 meals. The service was really good though so I would return.

Had a cousin’s wedding reception here and it was great. It was nice and clean and the server was very kind and helpful!! Great place to just eat at or to rent out for an event.

The waitress was great. My roast beef omelet was very tasty. The home fries definitely needed some help of some kind. The cranberry wild rice toast was quite dry and tasteless. My husband had an omelet. He felt it did not have nearly enough cheese, he said his hash browns were okay but the sourdough toast wasn’t very tasty and was a bit dry too. Not worth $40.

First time at Merchants Cafe today; great location near I-35, immediate service, and food came very quickly. Onion rings are tasty, BLT standard, and French toast was fresh. The building is a renovated old bank, and they’ve done a nice job holding onto some of the bank features like vault doors, woodwork, and light fixtures. It’s a simple no-nonsense small town cafe!

We tried it for the first time last weekend. It was packed but we didn’t ha e to wait long. The French toast was good and they give you hot dog size sausages. Take note though: they do not offer Pancakes. The biscuits and gravy was good as well.

Once a bank, this independent restaurant still has safes, one of which serves as a walkway to a prep area. The food was excellent and we would definitely go back. There is parking in a lot to the left of the building as well as on street parking around the corner to the right. Well worth a few extra steps!

One of the best breakfast places in the area. I try to get here weekly. The staff are super friendly and they have a great revolving “specials of the day”. I had a party and decided to use Merchants for catering. We did the taco bar and it was amazing. All of the party guests said they loved it!

Potatoes way over cooked. Sausage not cooked enough. Overall, the food leaves something to be desired. Left

Ate here for breakfast today for the first time. The corn beef hash is the best I have ever had. My husband had chicken fried steak and said it was absolutely delicious. We will be back for sure!

Love this place! I just wish they were open past 2 pm. Food is always fabulous, and dining in what used to be my old bank is so fun. Great servers too.
