I can’t say enough good things about this place! The food is absolutely amazing. You will find newbies and regulars to Ethiopian food here! Merkato Grocery and Cafe never disappoints! They have all of the traditional Ethiopian dishes and the injera is one of the best I’ve ever tasted. Not to mention, it is pleasing on the wallet as well. You always get so much food! The customer service is excellent, and we always feel like family when we visit. We live in the McKinney area, but would eat here 3x a week if I lived closer!!

The meat I bought was coated with fresh meat while the inside was hidden old and darkened. When we confronted the workers they proceded to deny that it was bought that way and that it was our fault. In the end, one worker was polite and offered I come back but there was still an unnecessary back and fourth. I was very disappointed and hope they do better.
