This restaurant is a MUST visit for everyone who comes to Kauai. The food, the atmosphere and the views are all BEAUTIFUL! We sat at a table that was open to the outdoors. It was serene, picturesque and exceptional! We ordered the Venison w/Shrimp, the soup of the day (Tomato Coconut Crème), Crab Cakes and Pork Quesadillas. For dessert we had a Citrus Mousse and Bread Pudding. Our server, Susan is soooo personable, professional and pleasurable to speak with. The bathroom is clean. I suggest you make your reservation for 6pm for the outdoor seating to catch the sunset. Thank me later!

Absolutely delicious with a hefty price tag to go with. The ambiance was fantastic with someone singing Hawaiian songs. If you’re used to large portion sizes, you may be disappointed based on what you order, but it will taste delicious nonetheless.

The food presentation is beautiful, and I hate to say it, but the food itself (poke) didn’t taste as good as it looked. I’m not saying bad, but it definitely isn’t the best poke on the island. For me, The Musubi Truck is the best, and it didn’t cost two arms and a leg. The view, fuggedaboutit!

Delicious food, good live music, fantastic ambience. The Ma Kai (from the ocean) was so good I ate until my heart was full. We were so happy to also see No Ka Oi, one of Merriman’s signature cocktails, on the menu – our favorite tropical cocktail. For dessert, we had the Hawaiian Chocolate Purse. It was ganache wrapped in filo pastry painted with chocolate, baked, and served with vanilla ice cream and macadamia nuts. Heavenly.

Very expensive but dang it was good. The fried steak and pork quesadilla are a must! Views are stunning. It did take a little while for anyone to come over to the table. But right now, every restaurant is like that. They’re doing their best and the food was worth any wait. Reservations are a must. I think you may be able to sit at the bar without them. We had to make reservations 3 days in advance to get in so make sure to not wait to make them. Fresh fish was swordfish and marlin, both amazing. Best meal we’ve had this trip. Staff is very kind as well. Highly recommend.

One of the fancier restaurants in the local outdoor mall. Came highly recommended so I had high expectations. Sadly I left disappointed. The space is lovely and the staff are attentive. The menu sounded good but the food was just not up to par (or maybe not at that price point). The octopus app was the best thing we had (that sauce though!). We splurged on dinner and it was nice but nothing to rave about. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing? Would be down to give it a second try!

We had a wonderful dinner, very good food. But we were there to take in the sunset, and we ended up making friends with a man sitting next to us. We tried to combine our table in the back patio to free up the spot for our waitress and to continue our conversation with Bart. I also made sure to pay early so that my waitress could see we were giving here a hundred dollar tip on a 244 dinner to make up for any possible table loss but we were still informed that we wouldn’t be welcome to stay the extra 20 minutes it would take for the sun to set. I’m not sure what we could have done differently, but I for sure will not be returning here or telling any of our friends to. What a bummer of what could have been a perfectly delightful evening.

We had an early dinner here since happy hour (you have to sit at the bar) was packed. We decided to eat all appetizers, so we could try a larger variety of food. We had the crab cakes, ramen, octopus, poke, and soup. Everything was really good. If you go here, don’t forget to get the Mai Tai since it has a cool lilikoi foam.

This was a great place to celebrate a birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed the service, our server and the food. They even brought out a Happy Birthday treat for me which was unexpected and greatly appreciated. Very clean place with absolutely delicious food!
